Chai baby!!! (oops is that Ciao baby???) Ok, well, if you like tea then I am your girl! It could be Italian tea (do Italian's even drink tea?? :) I am Chai, and I am looking for the favorite family waiting for me!! I was found wandering in a neighborhood, with a bad eye :( And that was my lucky day!! I was saved by a nice lady and her family and they are fostering me! So you may notice that I had surgery and my bad eye was removed.... i will make an EXCELLENT PIrAte for Halloween!! My foster family loves me, I am great with their children, cats and other dogs... I am almost completely potty trained and I am kind of a silly girl. I am about 13# full grown and cute as a button! I love to beg, stand on my back legs and my feet begging for you to ...1) pick me up or 2) feed me, or 3) cuddle with me! ADOPT ME SOON! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Popcorn is about 18 lbs., 15 years old and according to Google lens, a West highland terrier. Animal Care Services thought he was a Maltese mix and foster mom thinks he could be a Schnauzer/Maltese mix but knows for sure that he is the cutest scruffy EVER! His journey hasn't been all snuggles and treats as he lived on someone's apartment patio for years, lying in poop, grass and other debris until Animal Care Services came for him and God's Dogs Rescue was able to save the little scamp. While he still loves his humans, other gentle pups his size (cats unknown) and his squishy toys and chewy, understandably he has a few emotional scars especially regarding vet visits and grooming. Slow, patient progress in these areas has helped him be more confident, but will need a patient adopter to help him adapt. Things that make Popcorn super happy are spending time with his humans after he gets to know them, car rides and walks in the park. He loves, loves his squishy toys and generally carries one around with him. His most favorite game is for his person to chase him and pretend to take his squishy away. He also like to run zooms and if there isn't a person to play with he will often throw his toys for himself. Doesn't that just make you want to throw his stuffies so he can play?? He's a healthy guy for his age with just a few old man issues (beginnings of cataracts) that he takes supplements for and should continue taking. His liver enzymes were high when tested but he is on a med to help them normalize. Can you give this boy the right lap to live in?? He needs very patient/knowledgeable adopters, no children- adult only because he will bite if afraid... It is a work in progress but he is becoming the goofy boy he was meant to be while living on the nasty hot and freezing porch for most of his 14 yrs :( GIVE HIM A CHANCE!!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Louie is a very spunky boy and loves to be around humans. He is very food motivated, loves to give kisses and has a zest for life. He is learning how to go up and down stairs in his foster home. Louie does great with other animals and children in his foster home.

Lacey is a 4-5yr old maltipoo who is paralyzed and incontinent. She gets around great and is amazing for her diaper changes. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom and for the most part keeps to herself. She doesn’t mind the other dogs in the home and does well with older children. Kody is a 5 year old Maltese mix who came to our rescue from Georgia after being hit by a car and left outside for 24 hours. He had a broken pelvis that has now healed. He needs time to trust his person and once he does- he attaches himself to his person. If you aren’t willing to give him time to adjust and trust you and push him instead- please don’t apply. He will offer to bite if he isn’t given time to decompress. He is good with other dogs. No issues from prior injuries - healed and happy! Kody would do best in a home with older children. **All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and on prevention for heartworms, fleas, and ticks. I can still get my zoom on and not hearing doesn't slow me down at all. I love to cuddle and play and can be spunky. I'm just looking for a family to love and a house to live out my "golden years".
