QUICK FACTS Name: Arong Age: About 5 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Maltese – Poodle Mix Color: Black Weight: 6kg / 14lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My three sisters and I were rescued after our elderly guardian moved into a nursing home. Now we’re safe and waiting for our own loving families, ready to start a new and happy chapter in our lives.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m a calm and gentle little lap dog who loves being close to people. If you sit down, there’s a good chance I’ll come right over and settle comfortably on your lap—I simply love staying near my person. I spend most of my time relaxing quietly, often enjoying a warm sunny spot. I’m a peaceful and easygoing girl with a soft personality. If you’re looking for a sweet lap companion who will happily stay close by your side, I might be the perfect match for you.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I might be a little shy when we first meet, but if you offer me a treat, I’ll happily take it and warm up to you quickly. Before long, we’ll be friends and you can hold me and pet me! I’ll even roll over and show you my belly. That’s my way of saying I feel safe and love you. I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, so I’m not sure how I would do with younger kids. · With Dogs: When I meet a new dog, I like to walk up and say hello. I’m friendly and curious, but I like to take things slow. If another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to walk away instead of getting into trouble. I prefer to keep things calm and peaceful. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have low energy level – I really enjoy a calm and peaceful lifestyle. Most of the time, I’m happiest just relaxing and resting quietly. I enjoy going for walks, especially in quiet and peaceful places where I can relax and explore comfortably. However, busy roads with lots of cars can make me feel a little scared. I feel much more confident in calm areas like parks or quiet neighborhoods. With a patient human by my side, I’ll enjoy gentle strolls together.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food — not from people and not from other dogs.Sometimes when I want something, like attention or a treat, I might bark to let you know. It’s just my way of asking! When I’m placed in a kennel, I stay calm and well-behaved. I settle down nicely.I can feel a little scared about getting into the car, so it helps if someone gently lifts me in.I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outside, so I can adjust to either routine.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I use the bathroom both inside and outside the kennel, so I will need some continued potty pad training in my new home. If I feel stressed or uncomfortable, I may have an accident, so a calm and patient environment will help me feel safe.    Arong's Youtube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2683820##

Story
**Note: Chilli is currently in Korea but will fly to Toronto on April 4. Background Chilli was rescued from a puppy mill in Gimpo in December 2025. After his rescue, he moved to our partner boarding home where he now lives with other dogs. For the first time in his life, Chilli is living in a safe place where he is cared for and surrounded by kindness. Personality and Socialization Chilli is a sweet and loving boy with a medium energy level. He has the classic gentle Maltese personality. He is smart, affectionate, and friendly, and he truly enjoys being close to people. Chilli is comfortable meeting new people and happily greets both men and women. He loves attention and enjoys any moment when he is being loved. With other dogs, Chilli is very sweet and friendly. He feels most comfortable around small dogs and enjoys their company. Bigger dogs can make him a little nervous, but he still has a gentle and easygoing nature. Chilli truly likes other dogs and has a soft, kind personality. Chilli has not yet been tested with cats or young children. Behaviour Chilli rides very well in the car and usually rests quietly during the trip. He is calm and cooperative at the vet and handles baths and grooming without any trouble. He walks nicely on the leash and enjoys going out for walks. Chilli does not show destructive behaviour and does not have separation anxiety. He is comfortable using pee pads indoors and also goes potty outside. He is a patient and gentle boy who continues to learn about the world around him. Health and Diet Chilli is healthy and has received full veterinary care. He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and receives regular parasite prevention. He currently eats dry kibble twice a day and shows no signs of allergies. Ideal Home Chilli would do best in a calm and loving home where someone is around most of the time. Someone who works from home or a retired person would be a wonderful match for him. With patience and love, Chilli will continue to gain confidence and enjoy life more each day. He is a gentle and loyal companion, and whoever adopts this sweet boy will be very lucky. ----------------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/chilli/
