Story
Artemis hasn't met a person she doesn't like! In fact, she considers everyone to be her friend. Spend some time talking to her and giving her some scritches, and you'll see why everyone she's met at the League loves her. Artemis has lived with other dogs in her past, but we'd like to have her visit with any resident dog before you take her home. Artemis' new owner should be dedicated to a new weight loss regimen so she can live more comfortably and enjoy some longer walks with her people (since she does walk so nicely on leash!). This sweet girl is sure to fill your days with companionship and love, adopt her today!July 19, 2024, 4:05 pm

Story
Shelter Visiting Hours are 12 pm to 4 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event:https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##735151##

Story
This sweet girl was rescued from a high-kill shelter. Sabrina is a super-sweet girl who loves naps, cuddles, and long walks. She gets along well with mellow, polite dogs. Sabrina would do best in a loving, patient home that would show her that humans can be trusted (and a good source of pets/treats!)

Story
Meet Dolemite, our gentle giant, a 10-year-old Mastiff who has known only one family his entire life—until they decided to move and left him at a high-kill shelter. Despite this abandonment, he holds no grudges and is ready to fill his new home with love and loyalty. This sweet boy is good with dogs of all sizes, a true gentle giant. He loves car rides and is a joy to be around. However, life hasn't been easy for him; he bears a large mass on his back left hip and callouses on his legs from being stuck sleeping outside. But fear not, because he's now in a loving foster home, where we're taking care of his medical needs and giving him the attention he deserves. We're looking for a special person or family who can offer Dolemite the forever home he truly deserves. If you're ready to open your heart to a senior in need, please fill out an application and give Dolemite the happy ending he's been waiting for.

Story
Looking for a furry friend who's full of personality and endless love? Meet Mozart, the ultimate cuddle bug! He's a bundle of joy waiting to brighten up your life. This adorable pup has a big heart and an even bigger belief in himself - he's convinced he's a lap dog, and who are we to argue? Mozart loves nothing more than snuggling up next to you in bed, and his loud snores are just an added bonus! When Mozart needs attention or wants something, he's not shy about letting you know. He'll gently nudge your arm with his mouth, never hurting, just trying to get your attention. But don't worry, once he has what he wants, he's as happy as can be. Scratch between Mozart's ears, and you'll have a friend for life - it's practically guaranteed to put him right to sleep. And when he's excited? Get ready for the head spins and smirks that show off his adorable snaggle tooth! Mozart is a lover of the great outdoors and enjoys soaking up the sun whenever he can. He's also a fan of car rides, especially when he can stick his head out the window and watch the world go by. While Mozart may only know the command "sit" for now, he's eager to learn and just needs a bit of attention to his manners. He's strong as an ox, but his heart is even bigger. This charming pup is house and kennel trained, does great with dogs of all sizes and he adores kids. He loves his toys and playing fetch, and bath time is a breeze - although he's not exactly thrilled about it! So, if you're ready to welcome a loyal companion into your life, look no further than Mozart. Come meet him today and discover the love and laughter he'll bring to your home! ##1997483##

Story
Zara, at 18 months of age, has an enviable zest for life! This fit 55-pound beauty with the long, bushy tail also has a calm, easygoing demeanor, and LOVES to be loved by her equally loving fosters! Thriving especially on her foster mom’s snuggles and hugs, she prances cutely about in excitement whenever she sees her, rolling over onto her belly, lying next to her and giving her a paw to continue the pets that she craves. She also loves the three resident youngsters, aged six, five and two, her eight-year-old doggy foster friend, and every other dog she has met, whatever their size. Enthralled by simply being outside and sunbathing, Zara also enjoys chewing bones, playing, particularly with stuffy toys, and going for walks and on hikes. Motivated by love and food, eager to please and easy to teach, she quickly learned “sit, “stay” and “come,” is leash trained, never crated (she sleeps soundly through the night) and is almost fully house-trained. Now all this loving “lady” needs is a loving family to complete her training, including her commands, and keep her mentally and physically fulfilled fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
