Story
This is Buc, he is a mixed breed pup about 3 yrs old. His owner passed away and his wife was unable to keep him. Buc is up to date on vaccinations, fixed and house trained. He loves kids. He plays very well with other dogs. He loves being outside and has done very well with positive training so far. He is a very sweet boy with lots of kisses to give. Buc has lots of energy and is a little unaware of his actual size. He’s quite adorable. This good boy needs a place to call home! He would do well in a home with other large size dogs. NOT OKAY FOR HOUSEHOLDS WITH CATS OR OTHER SMALL ANIMALS. Please let us know if you are interested in Buc

Story
⭐️Bingo’s adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor ⭐️ Meet Bingo! Bingo is a very special man that came to us through Angel’s Retreat’s “ACCTs of Love” program due to needing advanced care as he was suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. Bingo originally came to the other shelter as a stray found in a mobile home park with a gunshot to the top of his nose cavity. When Bingo was found, despite the massive amount of pain he was in, they reported him to still greet the strangers that found him with tail wags, and looking to be petted 🥹 Bingo’s wound was caused from a bullet going through his skull, through the roof of his mouth, through his tongue, and then getting lodged in his neck. Amazingly, the bullet missed all his airways and vital organs! He needed time to heal but recovered beautifully and is ready to find his happy ever after! 🫶🏼 Bingo has done wonderful learning these skills, house, manners, doggy manners, and how to be the all-around great boy. He is a quick learner, and the biggest lover you could imagine. He wants nothing more than a person to give all his love to! Could you be that person? If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Bingo Quick Facts: -He is house trained and has great manners -He is the sweetest boy who would love nothing more than a person to snuggle and kiss! -He is gets along with dogs he knows but does require a proper dog introduction -He is a sunbather! He is more interested in chilling and snuggling than being very active -He needs someone who can continue to work on his confidence building on a leash, but he is doing wonderful learning with his favorite volunteers! -He loves his people friends and is a leaner who loves to lean on people to get some love 🫶🏼

Story
Meet Claude- Your New Best Friend! Claude is a sweet 6 month old mastiff mix with a heart full of love and curiosity. He is playful, inquisitive of everything and full of puppy energy. He loves squeaky toys, tennis balls, belly rubs and making new friends. His favorite place to beis wherever you are!  Claude is doing great with his basic training, learning to walk nicely on a leash and picking up commands quickly (especially where treats are involved!) Claude gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of playtime and affection (with boundaries, of course!)  Claude is crate trained and doing very well on house training.  Claude will be a very loyal and protective pal. His ideal adopter would be someone with mastiff experience and who is able to put time and patience into training him. He loves other dogs and is respectful of dog savvy cats. Claude is still working on his desire to jump, so a home with small children might not be ideal. He is up to date on his vaccinations, all preventatives and is neutered.  If you are looking for a loyal companion who will fill your days with joy, laughter and cuddles, Claude might just be the perfect match for you!   ##2554421##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Izzabella aka Izzy. HISTORY: One owner who did not provide basic medical care so Izzy lived many year with out of control skin issues, ear infections, UTI’s, etc. PERSONALITY: Izzy is a sweet, friendly girl that loves meeting new people and welcoming them into the house. She loves attention and affection and will lean in hard for pets and ear scratches. She tends to spend her days snoozing away but when she gets the zoomies she takes them seriously and this girl can move despite her age.  She lives peacefully with a 60lb male mixed breed but is reactive when seeing dogs out on a walk. Izzy is a bit fearful of fireworks and thunderstorms and will sometimes get spooked by loud noises. Izzy likes things to happen on her own personal timeline and can be stubborn when they don’t. She will test limits by whining and carrying on (dancing around, stomping her feet, wagging her tail furiously while staring at you) to try to get her way. She’s learning that those things don’t work in our house but it’s hard not to laugh at her antics. She’ll do it to the other dog in the house too when he’s laying in a bed that she wants. She usually gets her way with the dog.  FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Napping, soaking up love and attention, laying in the sun MEDICAL ISSUES: With vet care and a quality diet Izzy’s skin issues and ear infections have cleared up and she is no longer a big itchy mess. She did have a mammary tumor removed while being spayed. She is not currently on any medications. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Izzy enjoys hanging out with her people, so a family that spends a lot of time around the house/yard/garden would be great for her. Once integrated with another dog she is very polite and respectful but she definitely needs slow introductions to new dogs.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Zoey (fka Ruckus) came back to MTM after being adopted several years ago and her adopter recently passed away.    She is doing great in her foster home living with a toddler, 2 young kids and dogs of all sizes.   Zoey did take a bit to adjust. She is shy at first meeting, but once she settles in, she seeks attention and thrives off of routine. So if interested in meeting her, please understand, she does not show well, but given some time and patience, she will come around and show great affection.    She has begun to engage the other dogs in play and loves to spend time outside in the yard. She does well being left alone with the other dogs, with no concern of messes or destructive behavior.     She does pull on the leash and will need some help with that, but that too needs to be made part of her routine. Zoey is a low to medium energy dog and is content to just hang out. She will pick a favorite bed and that becomes her spot.    Zoey does well riding in the car, was well behaved at the vets office and doesn't mind a nail trim as long as shes being scratched at the same time.   She is potty trained and will go to the door or even come wake you if she needs to go out.    Zoey has been fully updated on vaccines and received a dental. She is ready for a new family! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
