Pocono ACCT-A-259475 is an approximately 3 year old female Mastiff dog who was picked up as a stray on 8/24/26. Pocono's fearful behavior is starting to improve and has had several good dog meets! She knows sit, down and paw! Pocono is medically in good condition and now she just needs to continue on a positive path out of the shelter environment so that she can start her better life sooner rather than later! Met Thor Majestic in a walk along, very interested in sniffing, loose and Tolerant. During the meet, the other dog had a male handler, when he leaned forward at the fence and Pocono was on the other side of the fence, Pocono did a small huff backed up and moved away indicating discomfort Per staff 8/29: Due to behavioral improvement this dog is being leveled down from exp blue to blue Making available for adoption too 8/26 Staff Noted: Kennel Presentation: At the front of the kennel with wide/soft eyes, ears to the side and mid nub not moving. Leash Skills: When I went to leash she lowered her head and body. Came out of kennel and pulled mildly on the leash. Zig zagging while outside. Eyes darting. Sociability: Much better then yesterday. Skin no longer crawling. Allowed pets, however did not solicit for more. Gave me a play bow and then jumped straight in the air. Not eating treats outside. She was still looking out into the parking, less pacing then yesterday as well. Play: Tossed a rope toy, she caught it and played with it for a few seconds. Dog Interaction: Met Scooby. Tolerant and moved away on her own. Return to Kennel: Went right into kennel and was able to remove leash with hand. 8/25 Staff Noted: Kennel Presentation: Volunteer got her out of the kennel. Said he has to close the guillotine door due to her being in the back side. Not eating any of the treats. Leash Skills: Pulls hard on the leash. Sociability: Tolerant of pets, however skin was crawling and would flinch with even the slightest of movements. Heavy panting while outside. Exit searching in the large yard. Ate one hot dog and then spit out another hot dog piece. Knows sit. Play: n/a Dog Interaction: Met Laylay. stiff at fence greetings, followed the fence line. In the yard able to sniff each other and move away. Stayed near Laylay when she was moving around the yard. Return to Kennel: Volunteer had no issues returning to kennel. Color Level: Exp Blue due difficulty removing from kennel, not always eating and exit searching. Recommendations and considerations: Making rescue only for now. Per Staff 8/28 Easy to leash, came right to the front. Walked nicely on the leash, no pulling Yes, I handled the dog. Enjoy the attention Walked right into kennel and unleashed without issue Sweet big girl . Does wanna say hi to other dogs walking past. Local Surrender Southampton Pa Pa Kl 5254 Meet Valhalla, a sweet little mastiff mix with a very big name and an even bigger personality! Valhalla is a baby girl who is currently in the adorable all paws, all wiggles, and absolutely no concept of personal space stage of puppyhood. Her mom is approximately 70 pounds and her dad is estimated to be around 120 pounds, so this little lady has some serious growing to do. In fact, she seems determined to prove that puppies can grow while youre watching them. One minute shes tiny, and the next minute shes somehow longer, taller, and taking up more room than she did yesterday. Valhalla is busy learning all about being a wonderful dog. Shes working on her house training, learning her manners, and figuring out which things are appropriate to put in her mouth. Like most baby puppies, she is a typical little mouthy pup, which means fingers, shoelaces, toys, blankets, and pretty much anything within reach can suddenly become extremely fascinating. Shell need a family who understands that puppies are adorable, enthusiastic little land sharks and who is willing to patiently teach her what belongs in her mouth and what definitely does not. This girl absolutely loves playing outside. Give her some room to explore, a few toys, and a little time to investigate the world, and she is one happy puppy. Toys are especially high on her list of favorite things, and Valhalla feels strongly that every toy deserves her immediate attention. She is also rapidly growing into those big feet of hers, so we suspect her toy collection may need to be upgraded regularly just to keep up with her. Valhalla came to us as a local surrender, and while her start may have been unexpected, she is ready for the next chapter of her life to be full of stability, patience, love, and plenty of opportunities to learn. Because Valhalla is expected to grow into a very large and powerful dog, we are looking for adopters who have previous bully-breed experience. Her future family should understand the commitment that comes with raising a large-breed puppy and be prepared to continue working on training, manners, socialization, and all those important life skills as she grows. She may have a very grand name, but Valhalla is still just a goofy baby who wants to play, explore, chew on things she probably shouldn't, collect toys, and eventually curl up with her people after a busy day of being a puppy. Local Surrender Southampton Pa Pa Kl 5254 Meet Knowles, a sweet and silly little mastiff mix with a very important name, very big paws, and absolutely no idea how quickly he is growing! Knowles is a baby boy who is currently living his best puppy life while learning all about the world around him. His mom is approximately 70 pounds and his dad is estimated to be around 120 pounds, so this handsome guy has a whole lot of growing left to do. Right now he is still in the adorable my legs are too long, my paws are too big, and I have no idea what to do with either of them phase of puppyhood, but we have a feeling there is going to be one very impressive dog underneath all that puppy silliness. Knowles is busy learning his puppy manners and working on his house training. He is still a baby, so he is figuring things out one day at a time and will need a family who understands that puppy training is a process. He is making progress, but there may still be an occasional accident along the way because apparently remembering where the bathroom is can be a very complicated concept when you are busy being a puppy. He is also a typical mouthy puppy, meaning just about everything seems to require a little investigation with his teeth. Fingers, toys, blankets, shoelaces, and anything else within reach can suddenly become extremely interesting. Knowles will need patient adopters who understand that puppy mouths are part of the package and who are willing to continue teaching him appropriate manners as he grows. One of Knowles's favorite things is playing outside. He loves getting out to explore, sniff around, stretch those growing legs, and generally participate in whatever important puppy activities are happening outdoors. And when it comes to toys, Knowles is a big fan. Give this boy a toy and he is ready to play, chew, carry, wrestle, and probably decide that it is now officially his most prized possession. I have had Bear for 5 years, since he was 9 months old. He has always been a wonderful companion. Very sweet. Unfortunately, he is also defiant and reactive. Sometimes he growls at people who get too close to him. He is also suspicious of strangers who want to touch him. He never had any biting issues until the past year. First, he was in a boarding facility and snapped at a technician who tried to sit with him. Then more recently he bit my girlfriend in our home. 95% of the time is wonderful, but I can no longer tolerate the risk of the other 5%. He needs someone who is caring, patient, and experienced with reactive dogs.

Meet Barley! A 5 year old Mastiff/Bully/Staffy/Dachshund mix with a big heart and love for cuddling. A couch potato who believes she’s a lap dog and loves her stuffies. Barley enjoys walks, but she’s more of a leisurely stroll kind of girl than a hiking partner. She has lived with another dog her entire life and does well with dogs, though her occasional zoomies could annoy her senior canine bro. She lives with a senior cat and is very curious, often wanting to play. Barley would do best in a home with older children or adults. She loves our kids but can be startled by the quick, unpredictable movements common with toddlers and likes to “supervise” them. She’s often separated and we feel she deserves a home where she can be more involved in daily life. Barley has seasonal skin allergies and receives a Cytopoint injection every 6–8 weeks during allergy season (Dec–April). She is a sweet, loyal gal looking for a loving home where she can cuddle, relax, and be part of the family.
