Large boy with a lot of love to give. Requires large breed experience, preferably Mastiff and/or Cane Corso experience! Was given to DBU after his parents lost their home and couldn't keep him. Applicants must be over the age of 25 and a homeowner. Renters who have landlord permission and stable track record are also accepted on a case-by-case basis. Story
Due to unforeseen family circumstances, we're looking for a loving new home for Barkley. This decision has absolutely no reflection on him, he is a wonderful dog who deserves stability, love, and a family to call his own. ❤️ Meet Barkley • Pit Bull/Mastiff Mix • 6 years old (DOB 6/6/2020) • 95 lbs • Gray and White • House-trained and crate-trained Barkley is a big, goofy boy who truly believes he's a lap dog. He loves walks, treats, cuddles, and spending time with his people. He has a sweet personality and enjoys being part of the family. He has no known medical issues and previously completed a summer training program. Like many dogs experiencing major life changes, he will benefit from a patient and understanding family willing to provide consistency, structure, and continued reinforcement of his training as he adjusts to a new home. Barkley's experience with other dogs has been somewhat limited, although he lived peacefully with his canine brother for years.

Fill out an Adoption Application Meet Norma - The Sweetheart With a Good Heart   If Norma were a person, everyone would say she has a beautiful, good heart — and they would be right.   Norma is a quiet, laid-back lady who would make the perfect couch potato or lap dog. Her ideal day? A cozy spot on the couch, a soft place to snooze, and her favorite people nearby. She's a true gem out and about: Car rides: Rides like a pro Vet visits: Well-behaved and polite Meeting people: Great with new friends Leash walks: Walks fairly well, just needs a little help with pulling Smart girl: Learned the dog door on her own, always potties outside, figured out how to go up and down steps, and knows "sit" — especially when treats are involved! She’s a good eater and very food motivated, so training is fun. Norma can be guarded when meeting other dogs, so she’ll do best with slow introductions and a patient family who lets her go at her own pace.   Above all else, Norma is just very sweet. She’s gentle, easygoing, and full of quiet love. If you’re looking for a calm companion to share your couch, your car rides, and your heart — Norma is ready. Could Norma be your new best friend? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER : Gus Gus, the Giant, Loveable Goofball  HISTORY : Gus Gus, of no fault of his own, came to MTM from a loving family. Former family reported him being great with other dogs and cats as well as kids.... though he has been reported to find and eat socks  PERSONALITY : Mild-mannered, passive with our male dog, loves laying around and hanging out. Always  down for car rides and is quite a good hiking partner. He is a sucker for treats and belly rubs, though be  aware that we tend to call him Gus Gus "Niagara Falls" after he drinks, as much of the water that goes in tends to dribble back out... nothing a few old towels cannot handle. This dog is a HUGE love-bug!  FAVORITE ACTIVITIES : Greeting his people, walks, playing with sticks, playing with other dogs and kids, car rides with windows down, eating treats and lots of chilling.  MEDICAL ISSUES : Currently waiting for his neuter surgery (scheduled for early November), is on an antibiotic for yeasty ears, and is being treated for infected pressure sores on his legs from laying on hard floors (he has been getting used to dog beds and sometimes the couch during his time with his foster family). He has lost weight (was 225 and is currently 192 lbs.) and is working on gaining it back. Tested positive for Lyme Disease on 9/11/26. Currently up to date with vaccines and is on heart guard treatment  WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: A loving home that can give Gus Gus plenty of car rides and leisure walks and nice hikes in nature. A home with people that love him and his big head, even if he drools. A home that has room for a big couch potato sidekick. He has been great with his foster-brother dog (a male great dane) and our 2 teenage sons.  Click here to watch a video of Gus Gus.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
