Tank was rescued from the shelter after losing 30 lbs and giving up hope.  He was barely walking when he got to his foster home.  After starting 3 meals a day of high calorie food and obtaining a good assessment from the veterinarian, he is getting a new lease on life.  Tank is a beautiful mix breed large dog, brindle bull mastiff and hound.  He's about 5 years old.  He is crate trained and now that he feels better, has no accidents in the house.  If a tail wagging is any indication, he loves to be outdoors where his nose is always on the go when he's not playing fetch. In house he hangs out with his people, plays with an occasional squeaky toy and loves lounging in front of the window watching the world go by.  He is a handsome boy ready for a forever home.  At his proper weight he will be at about 90 lbs and will need an experienced owner who is willing to spend time with him on commands and providing direction.  He learned "sit" in his first week of foster. He will do best in an only dog situation and a fenced yard so he can enjoy "outdoor leisure". Many of our adoptable pets attend adoption events each Saturday at Mall of Georgia Petsmart in Buford, Georgia from 11:30-3:00 pm Please check with us to find out if a particular pet will be available. Oreo is a big boy with a big heart! He is an 83lb, Pointer/Mastiff Mix, and is estimated to be 2yr old. This gentle giant gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids - he is a total sweetheart! He&#39s a low energy dog, who enjoys going for walks - his foster Mom describes him as a gentle walker, only occasionally pulling if something excites him. Oreo is house trained, working on his crate training, knows his basic commands, and takes treats gently from you! He&#39s also great at sharing and is unbothered when his doggy friends get near his food or treats. His favorite pastimes include cuddling, getting attention, and hanging with his people - especially the kids in his foster home! Oreo would do great in any household, and although he gets along well with other dogs he would do fine as the only pet in a house. Oreo doesn&#39t love to go on car rides, but he is working on this in his foster home. He will need continued training to get him comfortable in the car. He would love a family that is home regularly, as he can have some separation anxiety. Being near his people is where he likes to be! He would love a home with kids, and his gentle and well-mannered personality will make him a great fit for a deserving family. Oreo is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Meet Chop🦍🐾❤️ Named by his human siblings after Grand Theft Auto.. He has been apart of our family since his giant puppy paws could run and it saddens me to even get the nerve to search for another family for him.. He deserves someone that has the time although he’s pretty much self sufficient but space especially! Our residence has recently downsized and the children are now teenagers leaving him with little quality time, even though he’s not a handful I still feel guilty when he’s left home for hours and can’t tend to him like he needs besides to potty.. Chop is sooo mild mannered, quiet and easy going.. I think his temperament was created by the family, he just chills 😎 but I know he would like to go swimming some day.. he would like more park days, he probably would enjoy running around in a nice back yard but these are the activities I unfortunately can’t provide for him..
