Story
Bindi – Gentle Soul Learning to Shine Bindi is a 2-year-old Boerboel mix who is as sweet as she is shy. She was transferred from another rescue and is still learning to come out of her shell, especially around new people. While nervous in the kennel, Bindi shows her playful and curious side when she’s around other dogs. She enjoys interacting with dogs of all sizes and has shown herself to be submissive yet friendly during introductions, happily coexisting and even playing when she feels safe.Bindi walks well on leash and finds comfort in cozy spaces like dog houses, likely from her time as an outdoor dog. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home with older kids and a patient family who can give her the time and gentle guidance she needs to build trust and confidence. Mental enrichment activities will help Bindi grow into the confident, loving companion she’s meant to be.Bindi is looking for a forever home that understands her gentle, cautious nature and is ready to help her shine.

Story
Ralph the Derp! Ralph is a huge friendly, enthusiastic, uncoordinated 4-legged energetic goofball! He was rescued from “death row” at a high kill shelter, as a skinny stray with a treatable skin condition. His fur has almost completely grown in & he is now at a healthy weight. This overgrown mastiff/Cane Corso mix pup has no comprehension of his size, leaning into humans for affection or trying to ooze onto laps for cuddles. He is being trained not to jump and not to paw for attention/affection/play because he currently has 85# of mass behind those “congenial” moves. Ralph plays well with dogs of all sizes, but would do best with med-to-larger dogs due to his size & poorly curbed gusto. He hordes toys, taking them all to his chosen dog bed of the day. He likes to carry a special toy “baby” in his mouth when going out in the yard. He does need to be fed in his crate & will guard his empty food bowl from other dogs, unless he is distracted with a toy & led outdoors after meals. He is great on a leash, makes awesome grunty sounds when cuddled, enjoys baths. Ralph will make a great addition to an active family with older children. He is eager to please, food and affection oriented (although a bit stubborn at times), making him an ideal candidate for success with continuation of his training. Please consider adopting the gorgeous big derp into your home. Attributes: In training to avoid jumping/pawing Active family He is neutered, microchipped, had recent cherry eye repair and up to date on all vaccines and preventions. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hi, I’m Luke, and I’m a big, lovable boy tipping the scales at just over 100 lbs! Don’t let my size fool you—I’m a happy, easygoing pup who just wants to play, explore, and cuddle. I’m all about the good things in life: squeaky toys, water play, long walks, and best of all—snuggle time on the couch. I’m a pro at giving hugs (though I’m working on not jumping up too hard to give them—oops!). I get along great with other dogs and kids, but because of my size and enthusiasm, I’d do best with older children who won’t get accidentally knocked over during playtime. I’m crate trained, housebroken, and walk nicely on a leash—unless there’s a squirrel… then it’s game on! I do have a slight prey drive, so a little guidance goes a long way. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, playful companion to fill your home with love (and maybe take up some space on your couch), I’m your guy. Let’s make forever happen! 🐾 Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Finn may look like a rockstar with his striking Mastiff–Shepherd good looks, but at heart, he’s a big, soft lovebug. Weighing in at about 60 pounds, Finn has grown into a handsome boy with a beautiful gray and tan coat, soulful eyes, and an even bigger personality. Despite his star-quality appearance, Finn is more of a laid-back, easygoing guy—think Eeyore vibes, but with engines revved and ready to love. From the moment he wakes up, he’s prepared to shower his people with affection… and trust us, it’s A LOT of love! Finn does well with other dogs and does need a slow, proper introductions to new friends—both two-legged and four-legged. Once he knows you, he loves you deeply. He’s happiest when he has a buddy (human or canine) to share his world with. Affection is Finn’s specialty. When someone comes to greet him, he lights up, runs over with enthusiasm, and hands out slobbery kisses and big hugs like they’re backstage passes. His joy is genuine, his heart is huge, and he’s always thrilled to see his people. If you’re looking for a big, lovable, slightly goofy rockstar who will adore you endlessly, Finn is ready to take center stage in your heart. Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Story
Looking for a loyal companion with a big heart (and an even bigger cuddle game)? This handsome 5-year-old, 120-pound teddy bear might just be your perfect match. This gentle giant is the full package—smart, affectionate, and always ready for fun. He’s the kind of dog who will happily romp around the yard chasing a ball one minute, then curl up beside you like a lap dog the next (yes, all 120 lbs of him). His expressive, squish face and soulful eyes make it pretty clear—he just wants to be close to his people. Personality Highlights:  Smart: Quick learner who loves to engage and figure things out  Playful: Always up for a walk, yard zoomies, or a good game  Toy Lover: Has a soft spot for plush toys—he loves carrying them around and showing them off  Cuddly: A true snuggle bug who gives the best hugs  Loyal: Forms strong bonds and thrives on companionship At five years old, he’s the perfect mix of playful energy and calm companionship—past the wild puppy stage but still full of life and enthusiasm. He enjoys both active time outside and relaxing indoors on a cozy bed (preferably in the same room as you). You’ll often find him proudly trotting around with his favorite soft toy, ball or stick in his mouth. Because of his size, he’d do best in a home that can give him space to stretch out and a family ready to embrace big-dog love. In return, you’ll get endless affection, laughs, and a best friend who’s always happy to see you. If you’re ready for a devoted, playful, snuggly companion (with a love for plush toys), he’s ready to meet you.  If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Story
Chili Mac is currently enrolled in the 12-week Puppies 4 Parole program through the Mo Department of Corrections.  He will graduate around May 1st and will be available for adoption at that time.  If you are interested in adopting Chili Mac, please complete an application and the foster parent will contact you. Meet Chili Mac!    This 11-month-old Cane Corso is a big, lovable goofball with a heart as giant as his paws! Chili Mac is equal parts cuddle bug and class clown — he’ll make you laugh one minute and melt into your lap the next.   He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he decides you’re cool, he’s all in! He’s great with dogs big and small (seriously — from 6 lbs to 120 lbs!), crate and potty trained, and already knows some basic commands.   Due to Chili Mac's size and clumsiness, he would do best in a home with older children. He would also be best with someone who has breed/guardian experience given some mouthy behaviors which are normal for the breed.   Chili Mac would love an active home with another dog friend or a human adventure buddy. Whether you’re hiking, road-tripping, or just lounging on the couch- as long as you don’t mind a little drool, he’s ready to be your ride-or-die!    If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
