Story
This dog is $0 to adopt thanks to a thoughtful sponsorship in memory of Zach Schneider, who loved all animals, including his foster pets with GPG. To honor Zach's love for animals this winter, the adoption fee for this dog is covered, along with many others looking for loving homes. Are you ready to open your heart and home to a truly remarkable companion? Look no further, because Burton is here, and he's the sweet, shy giant you've been waiting for. Burton is a unique and endearing canine with a heart as big as his size. He may be a bit reserved at first, but once you've earned his trust, you'll discover that he's a true sweetheart. Burton is a gentle giant through and through. While he may be initially shy, the key to his heart is simple: pets and love. Once he realizes he's found a friend in you, he'll show you a level of loyalty and affection that's second to none. Burton is incredibly sweet, and his presence will bring a sense of calm and comfort to your home. If you're interested in meeting Burton, please visit our website to learn about our adoption process and to fill out an application, www.gatewaypets.org/adopt All of our dogs and cats will be micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations at the time of adoption. Story
When Fenrir came into the shelter he was in rough shape. He had an injured leg and a nasty skin issue on his face. Since then our guy has recovered and is in good health. Fin has been a volunteer favorite since he's been at the shelter. He is a big goofy boy with a happy disposition. He does well meeting new people at the shelter and we often use him for practice walks with new volunteers. Around the busy shelter he has showed friendly interest in other dogs. Fin was in a foster home for a short time and we learned that he is potty trained and non-destructive.

Story
If you are looking for a big Teddy Bear, meet Hasting (Duke). He is a 4 yr old Mastiff mix and he weighs almost 100 lbs. He is housebroke and doesn't need to be crated. He is good with kids but because of his size, may do better in a home with older kids. He knows sit, walks nicely on a leash and rides great in the car. He's just a good Ole boy! If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Hasting’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
