Story
Meet Tinkerbell! 💕 Tinkerbell is a one-year-old Cane Corso/Mastiff mix who arrived at the shelter as a stray, and this sweet girl is ready to find a family of her own! At 93 pounds, Tinkerbell is a big, strong girl who can pull hard on the leash. She can also be a little jumpy, but she responds well to correction and is eager to learn. A little training and guidance will go a long way in helping this lovable girl become the best companion she can be. Tinkerbell is afraid of cats, but she does well with other dogs. Most of all, she is incredibly sweet and deserves someone who will give her the patience, structure, and love she needs to thrive. ❤️ Could Tinkerbell be your new best friend? 🐾💕 Please apply Tinkerbell at https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50

Story
Meet Kaiser Dowling! This energetic and intelligent boy was surrendered to the shelter by his owner when the landlord kicked him out. KD's owner had a lot of great things to say about him! They said he's mostly housetrained, knows several commands, loves kids, is friendly with dogs, and is friendly with cats although he can be scared of them if they come after him! Kaiser Dowling has shown to live up to his description since getting to the shelter. He's energetic and can pull quite a bit on leash, and he's a blast to hang out with! He's super smart and knows commands including sit and down. KD is now looking for an owner to adventure with. Meet him at ACCT Philly any day from 10am-6pm! Videos 📽️ Kaiser Dowling is so smart! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3nOrX6va6c Cuddling Kaiser Dowling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gu_OLddiIvo Kaiser enjoys meeting people: https://youtube.com/shorts/jtNcywyxvvE?is=YcjpZ1GPc__tEZD5 Kaiser knows sit: https://youtube.com/shorts/p2tYYWOJzGI?is=hN9TucTJk5cK-8Cv ⭐Behavior Notes:⭐ Per Volunteer 8/30/2026: When I approached his kennel, he was standing at the front of it, and greeted me with a loose body and a wagging tail. When I was leashing him, he was trying to push out with his nose, so I had to hold the door sturdy with my knee. He pulls quite a bit on leash and would recommend a harness. In the play yard he is an incredibly gentle and smart boy who is very treat motivated!! He showed me that he knows sit and down and wouldn’t be surprised if there was more that he knew. He went up the A-frame following the treats and he takes treats very gently out of my hands. Super intelligent boy. He also took pets all over from me with a loose body and soft eyes. He resisted going back into his kennel a bit, and I had to step in and use some leash pressure. Playgroup 8/29: Mildly steerable with spray bottle (2/5), not with shake can (0/5). Neutral at gate initially. Eventually began vocalizing with high tail, focusing on Duke's rowdy, fast movements. Upon entering the yard, rushed Duke assertively -- fixatedly pursued him, attempting to nip/mouth and low growling once or twice. Removed from yard shortly afterward. Behavior Eval 8/23/26: Kennel Presentation: standing began barking the longer I took to get the leash. He's got a big and deep bark. took treat gently. Ears back, tail high wagging loosely. soft eyes. Easy to leash Leash Skills: pull hard, very strong, tail slightly higher than middle. Sociability: came in close proximity often, touched all over his back, head, neck and sides, unfazed, more interested in sniffing and walking. Play: did not do Dog Interaction: meeting Presley: https://youtu.be/ArmRpKim508?si=3jEIyEs73aVfStOg Pulls hard, sniffed, curious, loose body. she snarled and lightly air snapped at him, unfazed Return to Kennel: easy Color Level: blue Recommendations and considerations: no pull harness Per staff 8/23/26: kids 5+ exp day trip needed, he's extremely strong, must demonstrate can physically handle him -- ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. Story
Pocono ACCT-A-259475 is an approximately 3 year old female Mastiff dog who was picked up as a stray on 8/24/26. During early interactions, staff have noted that Pocono is exhibiting fearful behaviors and should be placed as Rescue only, and would do best in an adult only environment. Pocono's fearful behavior is starting to improve and has had several good dog meets! She knows sit, down and paw! Pocono is medically in good condition and now she just needs to continue on a positive path out of the shelter environment so that she can start her better life sooner rather than later! Leash Skills: When I went to leash she lowered her head and body. Came out of kennel and pulled mildly on the leash. Zig zagging while outside. Eyes darting. Sociability: Much better then yesterday. Skin no longer crawling. Allowed pets, however did not solicit for more. Gave me a play bow and then jumped straight in the air. Not eating treats outside. She was still looking out into the parking, less pacing then yesterday as well. Play: Tossed a rope toy, she caught it and played with it for a few seconds. Dog Interaction: Met Scooby. Tolerant and moved away on her own. Return to Kennel: Went right into kennel and was able to remove leash with hand. 8/25 Staff Noted: Kennel Presentation: Volunteer got her out of the kennel. Said he has to close the guillotine door due to her being in the back side. Not eating any of the treats. Leash Skills: Pulls hard on the leash. Sociability: Tolerant of pets, however skin was crawling and would flinch with even the slightest of movements. Heavy panting while outside. Exit searching in the large yard. Ate one hot dog and then spit out another hot dog piece. Knows sit. Play: n/a Dog Interaction: Met Laylay. stiff at fence greetings, followed the fence line. In the yard able to sniff each other and move away. Stayed near Laylay when she was moving around the yard. Return to Kennel: Volunteer had no issues returning to kennel. Color Level: Exp Blue due difficulty removing from kennel, not always eating and exit searching. Recommendations and considerations: Making rescue only for now. -- ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
