Lily's Story Meet Lily! 🤍Our sweet girl is still looking for a family to love. Lily is a 10-month-old Mastiff/Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 60 pounds, with a tender heart and so much potential just waiting to blossom. She was found as a stray alongside a few other Mastiff mixes, and it’s clear she hasn’t had much experience with the world yet. Because of that, Lily can be very scared and unsure in new situations—but underneath it all, she is truly a sweet and gentle girl. Right now, Lily is still building her confidence. She isn’t comfortable walking on a leash yet and may crawl low to the ground when she’s feeling nervous. Toys and playtime are still a bit overwhelming for her at the moment, but with patience and love, she’ll begin to open up at her own pace. One of the most heartwarming things about Lily is how much she benefits from the presence of other dogs. When introduced to a canine friend, she started to relax, walk better on the leash, and even offered a playful bow—showing us that her playful side is just waiting to come out. A home with a confident, friendly dog could be a wonderful match for her. She does appear to be frightened of cats, so slow introductions to them would be best. Lily is looking for a calm, patient family who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe. Watching her grow in confidence and discover the joys of being a dog will be an incredibly rewarding experience.
