Story
Hi friends, Odin here!I’m a young and curious guy. I can be a bit nervous around new people and may bark at strangers but once I’m familiar with you, we’ll be best buds! I’m strong and I do tend to pull on my leash, but with some positive reinforcement training I’ll be a pro in no time—I’m very treat motivated! I dream of finding a forever home where I can feel safe, loved, and have plenty of space to run around and play.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: I am looking for an adult only home given my sensitive nature and nervousness of strangers.OTHER DOGS: Yes, please! I would love a friendly dog to romp around with in the home!CATS: No, I get a bit too worked up when I see cats.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best with someone who has large breed experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Recommended given I am a strong boy and heavy puller on leash.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings as I can be uncomfortable with strangers being in my bubble.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the `Adopt Me` button to apply!

Story
Paris may share a name with a fashion capital, but she’s proudly rocking a more “wrinkly jowls” than “runway couture” look - and honestly, it just adds to her charm. This 3-year-old Mastiff cross came to the shelter as an unclaimed stray with another dog, and since then she’s been winning hearts left, right, and at every red light. Paris is basically a giant puppy in a grown-dog body. When she’s out of her kennel, she’s all joy, bounce, and enthusiasm, complete with happy jumps and a “LET’S DO THINGS!” attitude. She’s strong (very strong), so she’ll need a confident, sturdy human who can handle her power while she learns the ropes. Obedience classes will be right up her alley - Paris is eager, food-motivated, and would love the chance to learn some manners and show off her brains. An EasyWalk harness would be a great tool to help manage her leash-pulling enthusiasm while she’s learning. Adventure is Paris’s love language. She lives for walks and would be thrilled to join an active family who enjoys exploring the world with her. When it’s time to relax indoors, food puzzles are a fantastic way to keep her big brain busy and her jowls happily occupied. And then there’s her snuggle game, which is truly elite. One volunteer reports that Paris knew she was getting a much shorter walk than usual but she was totally fine with it, as long as she could stretch up for a good snuggle. She happily stayed there, soaking up affection like it was her full-time job. In fact, Paris has accidentally become a master of marketing. While wearing her “Adopt Me” leash near a busy intersection, she calmly sat through 30 - 40 drive-bys, charming passersby as traffic slowed at red lights. It turns out the perfect recipe for subversive marketing is a dog who’s patient, affectionate, and unbothered by the world going by - and Paris nailed it (wrinkles, drool, and all). Sweet, strong, snuggly, and hilariously mastiff-y, Paris would make a wonderful companion for someone with the time, patience, and love to help her shine. If you’re looking for a dog who’s more heart than high fashion—and who gives exceptional hugs—Paris just might be your girl. Story
Kodiak is the true definition of an adventure buddy! Do you enjoy hiking, running, biking, swimming or exploring? Kodiak is the perfect dog for you! In fact he is already and waiting at the door for you! He is an intelligent dog who is capable of learning extremely quickly. He already knows the commands sit, down, stay, come, and speak! Kodiak’s greatest strength is his loyalty; Up or down, good or bad, happy or sad it will be Kodiak and you against the world. What makes Kodiak special is that he has so much love to give. The exact reasons you are looking for a dog are the same reason Kodiak desperately wants his forever human. He will need a very active adult-only family to drain his energy in order to keep him happy. Kodiak is looking for an experienced and confident owner to continue working on his reactivity to dogs and new people. He will need a strong leader to slowly introduce him to new people using the methods he has been taught while at Dog Tales. Kodiak is not friendly with strangers, children or other animals. Therefore he will need to live in a house with a fully fenced backyard. Once he is comfortable with a person he will become very attached and a great listener. Kodiak is looking for his chance with someone special. Upon adoption, Dog Tales can provide training for Kodiak and you in order to set you up for success.

Story
Meet Honey. This gentle senior girl was found wandering the streets, alone and in pain. Her joints ached, her hips were stiff, and her body told the story of being left outside for far too long. But her story is changing — thanks to the love and expertise of her foster mom, a vet tech who’s made it her mission to help Honey heal. And she is healing. Honey is now on a regimen that helps her thrive: daily Metacam, Cartrophen injections, and joint supplements. Like many seniors, she’ll need to stay on this care plan — but it’s a small price to pay for the comfort and love she so deeply deserves. What’s sweeter than Honey? Absolutely nothing. We all hope to grow old with dignity and peace. But imagine finally reaching your golden years, only to be discarded like you no longer mattered. That’s what happened to Honey. Did she do anything wrong? Never. She was simply born kind, gentle, and full of love — and that’s still exactly who she is. She sleeps next to her foster sister’s crib at night, quietly keeping watch. She wears silly hats and dish towel “blankets” because it makes the baby laugh. She’s even stolen the heart of her foster brother, who now lays beside her in quiet companionship. She brings peace and warmth to every room she enters. She’s perfect. Now it’s time for her forever. Honey deserves a family who will cherish her through her senior years. Someone who sees the beauty in her graying muzzle, who understands her past, and who is ready to give her the soft landing she never had. If your home — and your heart — has room for a little sweetness, Honey is ready. Apply today and let her golden years shine.

Story
Meet Priscilla, queen of the dog park! Priscilla is such a cutie and just the sweetest girl. She has a curious spirit, a love for treats and has already shown herself to be an affectionate and eager-to-please dog! She always gets excited to see our volunteers and will greet them with her whole body wagging, eager for some attention and maybe a tasty snack or two. On walks, Priscilla is excited to explore and does well when walked at her pace. While she’s confident enough to explore quieter areas, she can get a little spooked by busy or high-traffic zones, but she settles down quickly once she’s in a calmer environment. She’s a quick learner, and she comes right to you when called, especially if there’s a treat involved. Priscilla really enjoys spending time outside, whether walking, playing or simply people-watching. She just enjoys being in the moment! When it’s time to head back, she’s easy to return back home and will happily go back inside for a good petting session. Priscilla is a friendly and sweet-natured dog who thrives on companionship. She will need a patient family that can continue to build her confidence and help her adjust to her new routine at her own pace. She will soon blossom into the loving, loyal companion she’s meant to be. Come say hi to Priscilla today!
