At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`, `stay`, `come`, `down` and `shake`.Once I get to know you I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.I`m a Playgroup Pal! Ask the staff today about my interactions with other dogs at the shelter in our Playgroups. Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home.I would do best in a home with older children.I will need to find a home where someone is available for me in these early days. I’m very dog friendly and I’m fully potty trained. People say I remind them of Bam Bam from The Flintstones — full of energy, strong, and impossible not to love. If you’re looking for a playful, spirited companion who will keep you laughing and active, I’m your girl! I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $750. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes: spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake. age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care. a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake. a heartworm test if over six months of age. current flea/tick prevention during time in care. 3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment. any medical expenses while in care. a health certificate for travel. the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!) Every adoption through the SPCA of Brazoria County also come with a PetSmart adoption kit, and some coupons for PetCo! Evangeline is an amazing pup! She came to me from the Seattle shelter as a rescue who was abandoned and malnourished. The shelter got her back to full physical health and I took her from there. She came potty trained and does well with a crate or safe space for herself. She knows many basic commands and is a polite little lady. She loves people especially her person. She does have separation anxiety that may require time and attention that I don’t have at the moment. She will back when her person leaves. And she will follow around the house. I know with the right building of trust she will be the best pup for your family. As far as other dogs, she is curios and has had success meeting other dogs on the street. But while in foster care she exhibited some recourse Harding, so I would not house her with other pups. Evie is a perfect girl who deserves so much love, as she has a ton to give back!!
