Story
* To learn how to become a foster parent to this or any other shelter dog, please copy and paste the following link to your web browser: https://bit.ly/SASfosterapply * Harry is a spectacular potato boy! He enjoys lounging, snacking, and cuddling. His favorite podcast to listen to is Doughboys and his favorite show is Top Chef. Harry is your guy if you are looking for an affectionate spud. Harry just spent some time in a foster home and the foster parent reported that he did well with her bay and was very gentle. He also got along with the resident cat! Pets are complex beings, and we could not possibly share everything about them in a short adoption bio. Prior to adoption, interested adopters will have an adoption counseling with one of our staff members where everything we know about an animal (including known behavioral and medical information) will be shared. Story
Beautiful boy Leo is just a little over 4months and he already weighs 40lbs! This big boy should be close to 100lbs when he’s full grown. Leo is a moderate energy, curious puppy that loves to get out and explore. He’s still learning manners but is eager to please, so he’s learning quickly. He loves learning games, especially if they involve treats. He really enjoys meeting new people, too, so a socially active home would be ideal. Leo has a great time each day, running and playing with his foster siblings, so he would love to have another large dog in the home to play with. He must have a large, 6ft or higher, securely fenced yard in which to get out and stretch that big body of his. He is clearly a shepherd mix and although we don’t know for sure, we believe that because of his build, size and gentle tempered demeanor, he’s a bit of mastiff, too. Because Leo can be a bit exuberant when meeting new people and when playing, kids must be over 10yrs old.

Hi, my name is Bobby and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Sep 30, 2023. Everyone calls me a “Goofball,” I’m not sure what that means but I know it has the word “ball” in it! Bringing a smile to my person’s face is what I do best and I’m ready to make every day as fun as I can. I think I’m the happy, funny pup for you!

Story
Meet Buddy, the lovable deaf Dane mix with the goofiest personality you'll ever encounter. Despite his hearing impairment, Buddy's playful and joyful spirit shines through. Whenever he meets a new friend, human or furry, he can't help but dance and play. With his mesmerizing blue eyes, Buddy's charm is irresistible. With some basic training, Buddy will be a dream come true. Buddy's deafness doesn't slow him down; in fact, it amplifies his zest for life. He adores playing, dancing, and spreading happiness wherever he goes. However, Buddy also appreciates some downtime. After all the fun, he loves to stretch his legs in a yard, exploring and enjoying the fresh air before settling down for a nap. Providing Buddy with a yard to roam and play will allow him to recharge his energy and continue being the delightful companion he is. Having spent nearly two months in boarding, Buddy is eagerly searching for his forever family. He yearns for a loving home where he can share his abundant affection and make every day a joyful adventure. If you're ready to open your heart and provide Buddy with the space he needs to stretch his legs in between naps, he will be eternally grateful. Buddy's unique mix of goofiness and charm will surely win you over, making him the cherished companion you've been dreaming of. Buddy will do best in a house with space for him to walk around as he is a large boy who needs his exercise. (He easily takes up the whole couch!) He is not always aware of his size and may step on your toes accidentally -- just breathe through it! Also, Buddy is not aware of the volume of his barking and for that reason is not suited for apartment life as he may disturb your neighbors. He loves smaller dogs as he used to live in a foster home with pugs. When passing a smaller dog on the sidewalk, Buddy will get too excited and jump around barking loudly at the pup. It comes across as scary to the smaller dog because of his size and the loud volume at which he is barking at them. This is another reason a home with a yard will be good for Buddy -- it will reduce the times when he will get exposed to smaller dogs which he may frighten with his larger-than-life excitement and size. With proper training, Buddy should be able to contain his excitement. Apply through our website northwestwagrescue.orgAdoption Fee $350 ##1657012##
