Topper was rescued from a South Atlanta animal shelter. She was quite shy the first few days, so we gave her some space and she began to seek us out after about 4 days. After a few weeks, she follows us and seeks affection. She is very sweet and silly. Topper is 6 yrs old weighs 16 lbs. and looks like a mini German Shepherd. She will come inside when called for her food and bed time, but she really enjoys playing in the yard with her canine friends. She loves her dry kibble and is not a picky eater. She needs to learn to take treats gently though, watch those fingers! When her foster mom is loving on other dogs, she'll yip and tug your pants leg! She wants ALL your love, and we are working to correct that behavior. We only crate Topper when she's eating. However, we do baby gate her when nobody is home. When you pick her up, she'll lay her head on your shoulder and melt your heart instantly. Alcovy dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, up to date on heart-worm preventative and flea preventative and micro-chipped. MEET TINK! Tink was picked up as a stray in Cherokee County. She spent a few days at the shelter before anyone could touch her, pick her up or walk her. Everyone knows I love a good behavior challenge. So I got her out in the play yard to take her picture. We posted her photo on socials and kept an eye on her for a few days, then a friend spotted her and asked to foster to get her out of the shelter. I challenged Nancy ... If she could pick her up, hold her, pet her, we could walk out the door. It happened. She did it within minutes. Patience and love win every time. Tink is now settling in her foster home, making friends, and enjoying what's left of her puppy year. She appears to be house trained already, will be available after her spay surgery January 6, 2026. Tink is almost 1 year old, 14 pounds, full of personality and wants to be your home office partner! Tink likes other dogs, cats, and people. She has not been around small children yet. She is still learning that the world is not so scary. We are going at Tink's pace. Slow and steady wins the race. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story: She was found on the street in South Korea at just 2 months old and sent to a high-risk city shelter along with her four siblings. Luckily, she was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and sent to her foster home 2 months later. Her foster family has been taking good care of her since, and she’s been living peacefully with the resident dog. LeeJu is now more than ready for a furever home! • Personality: Friendly, Curious, Cautious LeeJu is such a friendly and lovable pup with a curious and cautious personality. Her energy level is mid-low as she mostly chills in a kennel at home and prefers to have light walkies mainly for the bathroom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Super friendly with other dogs as long as they are not too large or aggressive. She doesn’t respond to barking dogs as well. She currently lives with a resident dog in her foster home, so she will be a good fit for a family with other furry companions. - Cats: Good with cats. - Adults/Kids: Good with both adults & kids. She is calm even when kids pet her. • Walking Manners: Well-mannered! • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, mainly using the bathroom outdoors but sometimes indoors when she can’t go outside. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good. • Car Rides: Not anymore. She got better at car rides. Her foster tries to walk her for potty before jumping into the car. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Barks/Howls: A little bit towards continued noise from outside the house. • Appetite/Food Allergies: She likes any sort of food! / No food allergies. • Likes/Dislikes: She loves being petted on her face while snuggling up to your side! / She feels cold easily due to her short coat. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Health: Had surgery on both knees in 2021 and recovered fully. Now maintaining her weight is important.
