He’s active, playful, an ideal size and a great companion. He wants to be with you all the time if he can, and is equally happy  to go out walking and to curl up with you on the sofa.  He is OK in a crate though would much rather be with his peeps.  He does well with other dogs and cats and older children but he might be best in a home without young children.   He is housebroken and walks well on a leash, only pulling when there is something really interesting he just has to go investigate.  Bean would make an amazing companion for any loving family - maybe yours?Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!  Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/   Donations help us offset boarding costs and additional medical treatment for those dogs who need it.  K-9 Lifesavers receives NO federal funding and survive with your generous support! Story
Perfect pocket sized companion alert! Sissy has the body of a small dog but the can do attitude of a big dog. She also has a heart of gold, the attitude of an athlete, the snuggle power of a puppy. She's a perfect catch! Her face maybe a bit frosted, but that is the only part of her that shows her age of 8 years young. She's a stunning 19lb mixed breed gal (maybe Min Pin or Rat Terrier?) who is always ready for a hike or an adventure. She loves humans and enjoys being with them. Don't let this golden girl fool you, she loves doing agility and exercising, but also happy to snuggle on the couch. Sissy is the perfect companion for any kind of family! Sissy is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $250 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
If you are looking for a personal shadow, Gia is your girl. Transparently, she is very anxious & requires a home with someone who works from home/home during the day. She has had dogs in the house as well as children & was non-reactive; but, walking with Gia is a different story & when she sees dogs/children she will react. It is marked that a trained adopter/committed to parent is a must. A fenced in yard for her to get energy out (she loves to take off!) is highly preferred & helps with her anxiety. Laying in the sun & running in the grass make her happy, but so does snuggling under your covers & laying on your legs for movie night. She is approximately 7yo & has no major health concerns so far. She enjoys tearing up toys and protecting bones. I have an unexpected change which has required her to be with dog walker after house sitter, & she deserves the level of connection/consistent feeling of safety that she so desperately needs. Please help Gia find a home that will love her hard.

Story
Hi - My name is Po Boy and I am a new member of the AARF family. I am a male min pin/beagle mix, but because I am brand new to these parts, there's not much more known about me or my personality just yet. If you check back a little later, I'm sure my foster parents will have a lot more information to post about me. If you have any questions, though, feel free to send an email to info@animalalliesrescue.org. or if you just think it's love at first sight, please fill out an adoption application at this site - http://www.animalalliesrescue.org and choose me - Po Boy!My adoption fee is $350. AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we've already been spayed/neutered (if age appropriate) and microchipped. We've been checked by a veterinarian, and we're up to date on age appropriate immunizations against rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). We've been tested for heartworm and other tick borne diseases (4DX), and we've started our heartworm and flea preventive medications. Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!
