Story
Maggie came to me at 5 months from a friends friend. She was born August 2024. She's a very sweet energetic pup. She is in need of basic puppy training but she's fast learner. She does chew on blankets, dog beds, bedspreads, but that could be curbed with training. She is in the process of crate training and doing fairly well. Maggie is super cuddly and loving with people. She plays hard with most dogs, but for some reason she recently turned on my older dog to the point that I cannot have them in the same room so we have to alternate crating.Maggie has a ton of energy and needs stimulation and exercise. She would be a great only dog or a great friend to the right dog.

Story
Meet Tofu! She is guessed to be a 2 year old terrier maybe poodle or shih tzu mix who recently arrived from Texas. She is a very sweet and active pup and so far she is loving the good life in Colorado! About Tofu: *Potty trained *Walks well on leash and loves going for long sniff walks *Great with other dogs and super friendly with everyone she meets *Sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, we're working on settling in the crate when left alone *Super playful with toys and other dogs, loves running around the yard *Decent around cats, she can get very playful with them but redirects well *Medium energy pup that needs at least an hour of activity and enrichment daily (walks/running/sniffing/puzzles/toys) *Super smart and easy to train - learned "sit" and "come" quickly *She is very chill in the house while her foster mom works from home as long as she gets her daily exercise *Loves going on adventures and did great in all stores when her foster mom took her shopping! She does get motion sick in the car. She has a little separation anxiety we are working through. She is not destructive at all but does whine in her crate when left home alone. For this reason, we do not recommend shared walls for her unless someone works from home. She will need regular grooming appointments. All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Neutered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Popcorn, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Popcorn! Popcorn is an adorable 25 lb Poodle/Papillon mix who is just beginning his new life. Popcorn was found as a stray and ended up in a Texas shelter and is now heading to Colorado for a fresh start. Beyond that, his history is unknown - but what we can see is a sweet, soft-natured little guy who is ready for a fresh start and someone to call his own. Popcorn has got a really charming and unique look: the soft, curly Poodle coat paired with those unmistakable Papillon-style ears that give him an expressive, alert, almost butterfly-like elegance. It’s a combination that makes him stand out in the best way—fluffy, scruffy, and just a little bit whimsical. Personality-wise, Popcorn is friendly and social, and he’s done well with other dogs, which is always a great sign for a dog coming out of a shelter environment. He seems to enjoy being around people and is starting to show that he wants connection and reassurance from those around him. Like many young dogs with unknown backgrounds, he may need a bit of time to fully settle into home life, learn routines, and build confidence—but he already has a really nice, open energy that suggests he’s going to thrive with consistency and kindness. At around 25 lbs, Popcorn is a great smaller size...easy to take along on outings, but still substantial enough to keep up with adventures and play. We imagine that once he feels safe and grounded, his Poodle intelligence and Papillon sweetness will really shine through, making him a fun, affectionate, and loyal companion. Popcorn is looking for a home that will help him decompress from shelter life and show him what it means to be truly cared for. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’s going to make someone a very special best friend. Farfel's Rescue and our Texas rescue partners would love to see Popcorn in a home with an individual, family (older kids are preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet dog. We'd hate to see him left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home, as he is much too social for that type of arrangement. We'd like to place Popcorn in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Popcorn is up to date on his vaccinations, has been fully vetted, is healthy, heartworm negative, and is neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
Meet Noodle the Doodle! At just 2 years old, Noodle is a lovable, friendly pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He absolutely lives for treats. Seriously, if you’ve got snacks, you’ve got his full attention! This makes him a great candidate for continued training, as he’s eager to learn and willing to work for his rewards. Noodle is a social butterfly who enjoys meeting new people and making friends wherever he goes. His sweet and outgoing nature makes him a joy to be around, whether you’re out on a walk or just relaxing at home. That said, Noodle does experience severe anxiety and will need a patient, understanding adopter who can provide structure and consistency. A home with a predictable routine and plenty of mental stimulation, such as puzzle toys, training sessions, or enrichment activities, will help him feel safe and thrive. He has lived around children before and does best with older kids who can respect his space and understand his boundaries. Because we don’t know much about his past (he came to us as a transfer from another shelter), taking things slow and giving him time to adjust will be key. Noodle is looking for a compassionate home that will support him, build his confidence, and love him for the wonderful, quirky dog he is. In return, he’ll give you loyalty, affection, and plenty of tail wags, especially if you’ve got treats in hand!
