Story
Will arrive 3/4. This poor guy was attacked by another dog, he's been pretty shy since his arrival (can you blame him) so we will be giving him a week or two to settle down so we can get to know his personality a bit better. Would probably love a home without another dog after his traumatic past All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Netuered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
"Meet Coco! 🐩✨ Coco is a 3-year-old poodle mix with a bouncy step and a heart full of sunshine! This happy girl is incredibly people-oriented and thrives on being part of the action. Whether you’re moving around the house or relaxing on the couch, Coco wants to be right there with you. She’s potty trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on leash. While she can occasionally be a little startled by new things, she quickly looks to her person for reassurance and guidance — she really wants to connect and trust her handler. One of her cutest (and most impressive!) traits? She can jump waist high just to say hello and grab your attention! She’s agile, athletic, and would likely enjoy activities that let her show off her skills. Coco can be bossy and territorial with other dogs and would thrive as the only dog in the home. A no-cat household is also recommended. If you’re looking for a lively, loving companion who will keep you smiling and always want to be by your side, Coco might just be your girl! 💕" Coco is being fostered in Longmont, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/coco/. Story
Meet Tank Tank is a 25-pound, 6-year-old Poodle with a gentle soul who is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. He’s taking his time adjusting to his new surroundings and is looking for a patient, understanding family to help him continue building confidence at his own pace. Tank does well with other dogs, especially in a calm, low-key environment. In fact, he may truly thrive with a confident, friendly dog in the home to show him the ropes and help him feel more secure. He takes comfort in canine companionship and blossoms when he doesn’t feel alone. Right now, Tank isn’t comfortable walking on a leash, so he will need a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore and enjoy the outdoors. With time, patience, and positive reinforcement, he may continue to make progress — but his future family should be prepared to meet him where he is. Tank is looking for a quieter home that will give him the space, stability, and kindness he deserves. In return, you’ll get a loyal companion who just needs a little extra love to truly shine. If you have a calm home, a fenced yard, and room in your heart for a sweet dog finding his confidence, Tank may be the perfect fit. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Meet Peter! Peter is a small, white Mini Schnauzer mix with a lot of personality packed into his little frame. Rescued from the shelter just in time, Peter has been given a second chance at life, and now we’re looking for his perfect forever home. Peter’s ideal adopter is an experienced dog owner who understands that some dogs need a little extra care and patience. Peter has shown some bite tendencies, and while we’re working with a trainer to understand his triggers, it’s important to be mindful of his boundaries. He doesn’t like being picked up and prefers not to be pet unless he comes to you first. When he feels safe and comfortable, Peter can be snuggly and affectionate—but it’s always on his terms. He is good with other dogs, so a canine companion could be a great fit for him. However, because of his biting history, Peter should not be in a home with children. Peter isn’t just a dog—he’s a work in progress who needs someone willing to invest time, patience, and love into helping him thrive. In the right home, Peter’s personality will shine, and he’ll reward you with loyalty and companionship. If you’re the experienced, patient adopter Peter needs, please fill out an application on our website. Peter is waiting for someone to see the good dog he truly is and help him live his best life. Once he warms up, Peter is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He would do best in a quiet household with adults or older children who understand his need for patience and kindness. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion, Peter is ready to meet you and start a new chapter in his life!
