Story
If you're looking for a tiny dog (13 lbs) with a giant capacity for love, Maggie is ready to apply for the position. At 1 year old, this adorable Poodle mix is an elite-level snuggler. Her favorite place in the world is curled up next to her person, often with her little nose tucked into your chest. Shell happily come running when you call her, melt into your hands for pets, and remind you every day just how wonderful it is to be loved by a dog. Maggie is also bright, athletic, and eager to learn. She enjoys staying busy and would love a family that will keep her mind engaged with training, puzzles, and new tricks. She seems to be house trained, tolerates her crate (even if it isn't her favorite), and has an adorable nesting habit—give her a blanket and shell build herself the cutest little cozy fort you've ever seen. While Maggie has so much to offer, she's looking for a home that understands she's still a work in progress. She can be barky towards other dogs when out on walks and strongly believes the couch and humans are hers and hers alone — she's not afraid to let a resident dog know this. Some good boundaries and leadership minimize these issues. Because she's incredibly enthusiastic about staying close to her people (sometimes very close!), she can end up underfoot, making her a better fit for an active home rather than one with anyone unsteady on their feet. Maggie enjoys respectful older children (about 78 years and up). She may do well with a confident, independent dog that can help show her the ropes, but shed also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only canine companion. If you're ready to invest in a smart, affectionate little dog who will reward you with endless cuddles and unwavering devotion, Maggie is ready to meet you. With the right family, Maggie is going to be an incredibly loyal, entertaining, and deeply devoted companion. Maggie is being fostered in Thornton, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/maggie/. Story
Meet Curry, formerly Benji! Age 3, 16lbs Mini Poodle Mix **Good with other dogs, Older kids only no young kids please. Unsure on Cats we can cat test He just arrived last week from Texas where he was an owner surrender due to the other dog not liking him in the home. He is doing very well in his foster home, working on jumping on people and can be a little protective of his bones so using a crate is a must for feeding and special treats. He is very cute, playful and energetic. Curry is a cuddle obsessed pooch - once he’s tired out from a nice long walk or play session he will happily lay with you while you provide plenty of pets. He just wants your love and affection. Curry has been receptive to being picked up/held. He is still working on some leash manners, but is learning quickly! Although he may not go in his crate on his own except to eat, he does wonderfully once he’s inside. He is very quiet once he’s inside and sleeps throughout the night without a peep. Must apply at posodogrescue.com in order to be pre approved for a meet and greet Comes fully vetted and with 2 free one on one dog training sessions

Story
Matcha is a wonderful 8 year old mini poodle mix that was adopted in January 2024 from Summit County, where she had one previous family. She is very sweet, and she is great on walks and car rides, and loves to relax on the couch with her family. She is happiest sleeping on the bed with her human or sharing a bed with a fellow pet. She was not house trained when I adopted her, and has improved so much but still has the occasional accident in the home. She has separation anxiety and cannot be left at home alone often or for long periods. She is an absolute dream when the circumstances are right! Her ideal home:-Owner(s) home 90% of the time-Ability to take her on walks-Gets her groomed every 6-8 weeks-Patient with her housetraining Would love, but not necessary:-A yard-Has other pets (she loves a pack!)She is spayed, vaccinated, and chipped. Her only health issue is anxiety, which she currently is on medication to decrease.

Story
Meet Peter! Peter is a small, white Mini Schnauzer mix with a lot of personality packed into his little frame. Rescued from the shelter just in time, Peter has been given a second chance at life, and now we’re looking for his perfect forever home. Peter’s ideal adopter is an experienced dog owner who understands that some dogs need a little extra care and patience. Peter has shown some bite tendencies, and while we’re working with a trainer to understand his triggers, it’s important to be mindful of his boundaries. He doesn’t like being picked up and prefers not to be pet unless he comes to you first. When he feels safe and comfortable, Peter can be snuggly and affectionate—but it’s always on his terms. He is good with other dogs, so a canine companion could be a great fit for him. However, because of his biting history, Peter should not be in a home with children. Peter isn’t just a dog—he’s a work in progress who needs someone willing to invest time, patience, and love into helping him thrive. In the right home, Peter’s personality will shine, and he’ll reward you with loyalty and companionship. If you’re the experienced, patient adopter Peter needs, please fill out an application on our website. Peter is waiting for someone to see the good dog he truly is and help him live his best life. Once he warms up, Peter is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He would do best in a quiet household with adults or older children who understand his need for patience and kindness. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion, Peter is ready to meet you and start a new chapter in his life!

She is a mini poodle mix who loves spending time with you, whether you are going on a stroll or cuddling up with a good book.
