Story
Pippi is a beautiful, fragile soul at 14 years old. Somehow she found herself alone at the airport for a long time, until a nice person stopped and helped her into rescue. Now she's looking for somewhere quiet when she can get lots of pets and food and just enjoy life. She is very quiet and gentle and would get along with quieter, older dogs. She is both crate and potty trained. When you carry her outside and set her down on the grass, she goes potty. Very, very sweet.

Story
Casper is a 4 year old Poodle that is a handsome, shy, quiet boy. He is neutered, microchipped and current on shots.  He is a mature adult and is good with other dogs once he gets comfortable. He can be a bit shy and takes a while to warm up to new people and environments, but once he does, he's a very sweet and affectionate boy. Once he gets to know you, he will be a very loyal companion and will stick by your side through thick and thin. He's a quiet and well-mannered dog who would make a great addition to your family.  He would do best in a quiet home where he can feel safe and continue to come out of his shell. He is kennel and doggie door trained, may need some positive help on house training.  He would benefit from an experienced owner who can help him build his confidence.  He has learned from the other dogs how to play with toys and is opening up to the fun. Regular grooming, at least every 3 months, is essential due to the poodle mix to maintain the Casper's coat and overall health. If you think you could give this sweet boy the forever home he's looking for, please inquire at www.FureverdogDenver.com today!  Please fill out an application.  If you have any questions or to meet him, please call or text 720-588-6809. ##2013155##

Story
Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogIf you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Toyota, and I am a Maltipoo boy who was born 7/15/16, and I weigh 7 pounds. I have been shaved for hygiene, but my hair will grow back, and I will be beautiful. I need aa quiet home and I would love a sibling to play with and learn from. If you have been waiting for a beautiful Maltipoo, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Love, Toyota 031823-34  May 5, 2024, 1:45 pm

Story
Oh so warm in her wintry white coat, 1.5-year-old K’La has bloomed in her foster home. Despite her initial shyness around strangers, she’s not only the undisputed queen of snuggles and cuddles, she’s LOVING paws-onified! As much as she loves the attention of her fosters, she also LOVES playing with her doggy foster friends, whether it’s running circles around the backyard while one of them chases her or playing games of tug-o-war with them. Happiest when active, she burns off her excess energy by going for one long walk a day, playing fetch and tug-o-war with her fosters, chewing on bones and playing with toys, especially mini tennis balls which she loves chasing, chewing on and ultimately destroying. Not to mention the fact that she enjoys chasing her tail. Responding to “come” with a handclap, K’La releases a toy after a bout of tug-o-war when told to “drop it,” and will “sit” politely for treats. Especially fond of cheese, apple chicken treats and mini milk bones, she’s motivated by food, toys and love, is never crated and is almost fully house-trained. Now what this most loyal and loving companion needs are patient adopters who will win her trust, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her adored and active fur-ever. After DNA testing, we know she's equal parts poodle, chihuahua, and cattle dog! See additional photos of K'La here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375.  Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email  dogs@arrcolorado.org  for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
