A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Paxton! This 9-year-old miniature poodle is a senior with plenty of personality. He can sometimes show a bit of attitude, so we recommend a home without small children. Paxton enjoys walks on a leash but would thrive with a small, dog-approved fenced yard where he can safely explore and stretch his legs. He gets along well with other dogs and would make a wonderful companion for the right family. Paxton weighs 8lbs. and is approximately 9 years old (est. birth date 01/29/2016). Paxton has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Paxton's adoption fee is $85. If you want more information about Paxton, please submit a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to known each other before making it official! Victor is a precious miniature poodle mix. He came to us with an injured leg that required amputation. He has adjusted very well and loves to run. Victor is crate trained and can walk on a leash. His ideal home requires a secure fenced yard that is appropriate for a small breed dog. Victor will need a home with no small children. He is very loving, but can be protective of his people and toys. Victor does not have a bite history, but needs a family that understands small dogs with an attitude. He is so very loving and loves to give kisses. If you’re interested in learning more about this baby, please apply to furkids.org.

Story
❗Current location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet Teddy👋 This sweet and gentle boy was rescued just in time from the euthanasia list and began his new chapter at a shelter in April 2025. Despite everything he’s been through, Teddy has a warm heart and a loving spirit. He’s now fully ready to leave his past behind and find a forever home where he can truly belong. He has been living in a foster home since July. • Personality: Gentle, Calm, Sweet • Affinity with - Dogs: Good around other small dogs but scared of large-sized dogs - Cats: Curious about them - Adults/Kids: Good with new people, including men / Good with kids! • Housetrained: Fully housebroken! • Walking Manners: Super gentle on a leash as if he had experience in the past. • Bathing/Brushing: Good with both • Separation Anxiety: Little. He may whimper a little bit, but just a few treats will distract him. • Barks/Howls: None. • Car Rides: Comfortable with car rides. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No food allergies found so far • Likes/Dislikes: Likes to play with a ball or tug-of-war! / Dislikes being confined in a small space. • Shedding level (1~10): 1-2 • Health: He used to have a mild yeast infection in the ears and almost recovered. 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Story
📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story: Found wandering the streets of South Korea last July, Aladdin was rescued just moments before euthanasia. His walk seemed a bit unusual, and further exams revealed issues with both hips and his patella. He underwent surgery in September–October, and he’s now almost fully recovered — a brave boy! He’s currently staying at a veterinary clinic and patiently waiting for his forever family who can truly give him the loving care he deserves 🙏💛 • Personality: Affectionate, Active, Easy-going A playful affectionate sweetheart! He loves cuddles even with new people❣️ Energy level is medium–high — a happy, playful boy who loves to run around😆 • Affinity with - Dogs: Good with other dogs but prefers to be the only dog in his home as he tends to feel jealous. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with people / No experience with children yet, but considering his personality, he'd be good around gentle children. • Housetrained: Indoor–outdoor hybrid! He may need a little refresher on potty training in a new environment. • Walking Manners: Loves sniffing around and walks nicely without pulling! • Bathing/Brushing: Good with both • Separation Anxiety: None. • Barks/Howls: Only barks following other dogs. • Car Rides: Great with car rides. • Appetite/Food Allergies: A big eater! / No food allergies found so far • Likes/Dislikes: Loves being held and cuddled, eating treats, and running around! • Shedding level (1~10): 1-2 • Health: After rescue, he had surgeries on both hips and his patella (last Sept–Oct). He’s now almost fully recovered! With steady walks and exercise, he’ll continue to build good muscle in his back legs🥺 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Story
A ‘SPECIAL NEEDS’ HAPPY PUP:  Approx. 10 – 11 months old / Approx. 16 lbs. & growing  Hi, my name is Melanie!  I’m a special girl with a big heart — one that’s working harder than most. I was born with a significant heart condition that is expected to shorten my time here to around 3 to 4 years, but I’m determined to fill every single day with love, cuddles, and joy as I believe in living life to the fullest.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I get along very well with the dogs in my foster home. I would likely enjoy another dog to play with in my new home, so if you have a nice doggie who would like a puppy friend, but that would also not overwhelm me, let’s meet! / I met 2 kitties when I was very young, and my regular foster thinks I may be a bit too playful for kitties. / I like the teen kids I’ve met in my foster home and think older kids like this will be best for me due to my heart condition.  I didn’t care for some younger kids I met in my foster home, so if you have calm older kids, let’s meet!   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a happy-go-lucky pup with a sweet, lovable personality and a playful spirit that shines brightest when I’m around people. I’m not a big cuddler, and at times I’m a loner, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love being near you — I just like to enjoy your company in my own way. I’ve got some puppy energy, but because of my heart condition, I’d like a calmer home where I can play and explore without too much overexcitement.  My foster says I have a great personality and an easygoing charm, and I think once you meet me, you’ll see what a special little pup I am. / My energy level in my foster home is quite high at 6-8, though it will likely lower as time goes on. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a pretty bright girl and already know the ‘sit’, ‘outside’ and ‘lie down’ commands.  I bet you can teach me even more! / My crate manners are excellent in my foster home. / Potty training is coming along, but due to the medications I’m on, it’s a bit of a challenge for me.  I know when I’ve had an accident, but I just can’t always hold it — especially first thing in the morning, when I might need a quick carry outside to avoid leaving a trail.  So, know that there will be accidents and let’s work together to make them as few as possible.  Because of my frequent need to go out to potty, a stay-at-home or work-from-home family member is needed.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  It’s hard to pick just one favorite, because as a happy-go-lucky pup, I love so many things — people, toys to play with and chew on, and soaking up a little sunshine outside with my family!  I’m sure we’ll discover even more things we’ll love doing together! / My foster says I get startled by things that are new to me.  Kibble in a metal bowl is suspect to me, and I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, light exercise and training. • MEDICAL:  I’m current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m on a heart medication called Vetmedin and I’ll need to stay on it for life.  My foster does some heart/stomach measurements that are an indicator as to how I’m doing, and these should be done in my new home – just ask about this.  I’ll need heart checks at UGA periodically and Mostly Mutts will pay for the one in December 2025 or January 2026.  I’m looking for a home with a cardiac knowledgeable family that understands my medical needs.  My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    October 30, 2025, 4:23 pm
