Story
Meet  Murray Mills , a 10-pound gentleman with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! At 11 years young, this sweet poodle mix is the perfect blend of calm cuddler and occasional goofball — he loves to snuggle but will happily prance around the yard when the mood strikes. Murray enjoys his neighborhood walks and greets everyone he meets with a wagging tail and pure joy — men, women, and small dogs alike. A happy boy, Murray also gets adorable spurts of energy and when he does his smile melts hearts. He’s fully potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and thrives on companionship, so he’d love a home where someone is around most of the time to keep him company. Murray sleeps soundly in his cozy dog bed but is happiest when he’s close to his people, watching the action (or maybe sniffing what’s cooking!).  Like many distinguished seniors, Murray has a few quirks — he wears a belly band to help with marking, and his vision and hearing aren’t what they used to be, though he gets around just fine with a little patience and reassurance. Sweet, social, and full of heart, Murray Mills is ready to bring warmth, smiles, and loyal companionship to his forever home.     Aspen: The Easy Roommate Specialty: Existing peacefully in your general vicinity. If you’re looking for a dog that will leap into your arms, lick your eyeballs, and demand 24/7 belly rubs... please keep scrolling.  Aspen is not that guy. Aspen is a 11-pound feline who accidentally ended up in the dog department. His motto is ‘look all you want, and touch me sometimes’. He’s looking for a calm, quiet home where he can be part of the "household happenings" without the pressure of being a lap dog. The Aspen Essentials: • Aspen is a professional napper. It’s his favorite pastime and he’s very good at it. • Takes treats from your hand like a Victorian prince • Socially Indifferent: He coexists with other dogs by professionally ignoring them. • Personal Space: He prefers "hanging out" over "cuddling." If you value your personal bubble, he’s your guy. •House trained and will let you know he needs to go out by walking to the door. The Medical Fine Print Aspen is currently Heartworm Positive. But don't let that scare you! He takes his medication like a champ and the Rescue will pay for the entire heart worm treatment.   If you feel Aspen is the roommate you always wanted, fill out an application so we can schedule a meet and a greet.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Hi there! My name is Wally, or Wall-E, which ever you prefer!I am a medium sized senior golden retriever/poodle mix, aged at 10 years old, and I am just looking for a soft place to land. I came to the shelter in mid-February when I was found as a stray and brought to the shelter. I was scared, matted, and had very bad teeth. Now I am ready to find my furever and sleep on a couch of my own. Since I was a stray, my friends here do not know how I am with kids, dogs, or cats, so it's best to bring all human and canine members of the household by to meet me before I come home. See you soon!~Wall-EWeight: 34 lbs Primary Color: Red Weight: 32.8 Age: 10yrs 1mths 4wks

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Titan, a senior dog with a heart full of love. His sweet, friendly, and gentle nature makes him a perfect companion. He can walk on a leash, but we would prefer that he have a home with a fenced yard so he can safely be off leash. As with any senior, Titan does have some accidents and is not completely housetrained. He is starting to lose his hearing and his vision is somewhat impaired. We do not know how long this precious boy has, but would love for him to be in a home that will spoil him rotten. He is good with other dogs, so he would fit well in a multi-dog household. Titan's wisdom and loving spirit are undeniable. His readiness to love and be loved is palpable. Adopt Titan and let him fill your home with joy, warmth, and companionship. Titan weighs 17lbs. and is estimated at 16 years old. Titan has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Titan's adoption fee is $85. If you want to know more about Titan, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for Victor so you can get to know one another before making it official! Meet Victor! This mini Poodle mix may have three legs, but he has a heart (and a personality) big enough for any home. Weighing just 12 pounds, Victor came to Furkids after an injury led to the amputation of one of his legs. He’s adjusted beautifully and loves to run and explore. Victor is crate trained, leash trained, and ready to be your devoted companion. He thrives in a home with a secure fenced yard suitable for a small dog and does best in a household without small children. While Victor is incredibly affectionate and loves giving kisses, he is very protective of his people and his toys, so he needs a family that understands the confident attitude of a little dog with a lot of sass. If you’re looking for a loving, spirited pup who’s equal parts snuggle buddy and loyal guardian, Victor might just be your perfect match! Victor currently weighs about 12 pounds and is approximately 2.5 years old (estimated birth date 10/03/2023). His adoption fee is $315. Victor has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives, and is microchipped. If you’d like to learn more about Victor, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to provide more information and arrange a meet-and-greet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt. Victor is not eligible for out-of-state adoptions.

Story
Introducing Lexie Gracie, the quintessential Southern belle! Lady Lexie is gentle, genteel and generally can set hearts afire with her southern charm. She is so congenial and sweet that all the vet techs came out to say goodbye to her as she headed to her foster home from the hospital (and one vet tech actually cried!). This 11-year- old Poodle came into rescue after her parent entered assisted living. Now, after being fully vetted, she is ready to start the next phase of her life as a pampered pooch. Lady Lexie is fully housebroken (of course!), walks VERY nicely on a leash and has a VERY healthy appetite. She likes her walks, but would be content simply using the backyard. In the few 5 days that has been with her foster family, clever girl Lexie has learned how to use the doggy door, climb the doggy stairs (with a little help; she might have some arthritis), point to the treat containers, keep her foster home on HER schedule and scold her foster mom if she is (god forbid!) full sixty seconds late in serving her meals. When she first came to her foster home, she was quite gassy and was throwing up all her food. But it was easily corrected with some probiotic homemade yogurt. Her foster mom now gives her one tablespoon of yogurt every day. She also might have some allergies as her legs and paws itch after being outside. So her parent will have to wipe down her belly and paws after her walk. Lady Lexie does not play with her 18-month-old foster brother who tries to engage her by bringing her a toy or a ball, and nor does she like cuddling. But she loves sitting right next to you with her body touching you at all times. Perfect companion to binge on all the episodes of “Southern Charm” on your TV! Understandably, she has some separation anxiety and she whines and barks when her foster mom is out of sight. But this might go away as she settles in to her new home, gets more and more familiar with her surroundings and gains self-confidence. Lexie Gracie will make her new family really happy – she can be a solo queen or go into a house with other dogs so long as they do not bother this senior baby. In short, Lexie Gracie is: * Housebroken * Leash-trained * Friendly towards all dogs and humans * Not cat-tested * Not leash-reactive * Forever ready for treats * Extremely sweet!!
