Bijou is a sweet little Poodle mix. He is about 2-3 years old and weighs 10 pounds. He was found dumped on the side of the road in a crate with another dog who has since been adopted. Bijou was matted and terrified when he arrived at Tiny Paws. It’s been a long road but he has made excellent progress and come such a long way in his foster home, but is still quite shy when meeting new people. Bijou is sweet and affectionate to his foster mom. He is so excited to see her that he gets the “tippy tappies” and that has become his nickname. He loves his foster siblings and we are requiring another confident dog in the home that can help show him the ropes! At this time, we are also requiring a home with a fenced yard for him. ******************** Preference is given to applicants located within the metro Atlanta area. Emma was rescued as a puppy. She is ~5 years old. She is incredibly sweet, loving, and playful. She wants to be the center of attention and a lap dog. Emma loves to play outside, chase squirrels, and play with toys. She has separation anxiety though so ideally, someone that is home most of the time with her and is willing to be kind and patient. She was raised with another male, poodle whom she loved. She may be scared of young children due to her past. However, she has never bit or hurt anyone. She can be nervous when first adjusting to new environments, so she’ll need a patient and understanding adopter who can give her the time and space to feel safe and secure. Because of this, Thalia is not a good match for homes with young children under 10. Once she feels comfortable, Thalia’s sweet personality truly shines. She’s a loving little companion who enjoys snuggling up with her favorite person and soaking up affection. She’s also quite curious and enjoys exploring her surroundings and playing with toys. Thalia thrives in the company of other dogs and REQUIRES a canine companion in her forever home to help her feel confident and happy. She has also done well with cats in her foster home. *You MUST live in Metro Atlanta to adopt Liza Minnelli* Liza Minnelli is a 5 year old, 13 lb mini poodle girl. She is shy at first and needs time to open up before becoming comfortable. Once comfortable, she loves to explore the yard and run around with her dog foster siblings. Liza is not comfortable on a leash and therefore REQUIRES a fenced in yard. Liza would thrive best in a quiet home, with no children under 12. Liza is not house trained and will need patience to continue learning. Liza sees a crate as a safe space, and is crate trained and likes to spend time in her crate when she is overwhelmed or nervous. Liza did test positive for heartworms. Her treatment is covered in the adoption fee and will be performed at one of our partner veterinarians, which is why she must remain local. Muñeca – ID #18711 – Kennel #207 – Arrived May 3rd as a stray – Poodle mix – white – female – 1 year old – estimated 14 lbs (estimated adult weight 15–17 lbs) – Will be spayed prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative Muñeca means “doll” in Spanish, and this adorable little girl truly lives up to her name. With her soft white curls, gentle expression, and loving nature, she is impossible not to fall for the moment you meet her. She is calm, sweet, and wonderfully easygoing. Muñeca enjoys being close to people and happily settles into laps whenever she gets the chance, making her the perfect little lap buddy. She already knows how to sit when asked and walks beautifully on a leash, showing what a lovely companion she is. Muñeca arrived at the shelter as a stray on May 3rd and is now ready for a home where she can be cherished and cared for. At only 1 year old, she still has so much life and love ahead of her to share with a lucky family. Muñeca does have some skin issues that will need follow-up care with an outside veterinarian after adoption. Even with that extra care needed, her affectionate personality and calm spirit shine brightly and make her such a special little dog.
