Teddy is an adorable 4 year old poodle mix that was found as a lost boy on 8/23. He is tiny at only 10lbs! He is so very sweet, he just wants to sit in your lap. He loves to go for walks and will sit nicely for treats. He is up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm negative and will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Come meet this sweet boy in kennel 320, his ID is 22012. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. Her daily schedule is simple: eat breakfast, immediately request a potty break, race around the yard with her foster siblings at top speed, play with every toy she can find, demand belly rubs, and then curl up next to her favorite human like she pays the bills. She’s incredibly loyal and happiest when she’s with her family. Whether you’re watching TV, working from home, or just existing, Liza believes your lap (or at least the spot right beside you) is exactly where she belongs. She’s also a bit of a food critic. Fancy training treats? Meh. Carrots? Hard pass. Fruit? Absolutely not. Blaine is a 2 year old, 14 lb sweet, gentle Poodle with the most beautiful salt-and-pepper coat and soulful eyes. He’s a shy boy who takes time to trust new people, but with patience, consistency, and love, his wonderful personality begins to shine. Blaine thrives with other dogs and REQUIRES a confident canine companion (he’s especially drawn to larger dogs) to help him feel safe and build confidence. He’s happiest outside doing zoomies, exploring the yard, and chasing rabbits with his dog friends, so a securely fenced yard is also a REQUIREMENT, plus he won’t potty on leash. Since Blaine spent much of his life outdoors, he’s still learning the ropes of living inside. He’s making progress with house training, is very food-motivated, and continues to improve with routine and positive reinforcement. He sleeps well through the night, walks nicely on leash with his foster siblings (though loud noises can still startle him), and is a wonderful houseguest who doesn’t chew or get into mischief. Promise is a 2 year old, 10 lb Miniature Poodle with a playful personality and a heart full of love! She has all the fun, energetic puppy spirit and is looking for an active family to share adventures with. Promise loves walks, hikes, car rides, and exploring with her people. She’s good on leash (though she can pull a little when she’s excited), is crate trained, mostly house trained, and can potty on leash, so a fenced yard isn’t required. She is incredibly affectionate and loves giving nose boops, kisses, and snuggling under the covers at bedtime. Promise gains her confidence from other dogs and REQUIRES another playful, confident dog in the home who is similar in size. Because she’s still sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements, Promise will do best in a calm home without young, rowdy children. She may be a little shy at first, especially with men, but she warms up beautifully with gentle, patient people. Story

Ace is a 9-year-old dog with a huge heart and an incredibly loyal personality. Once he trusts you, he’ll be your best friend and loves being close to the people he cares about. He’s affectionate, loving, and enjoys spending time with his family. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for me, but I want what’s best for Ace. Unfortunately, he struggles with anxiety and requires ongoing medication and regular veterinary care. Due to financial difficulties, I’ve reached a point where I can no longer consistently keep up with his medications and vet appointments, and he deserves someone who can provide him with the care and stability he needs. I’m looking for a patient, understanding home that will give Ace the love, attention, and medical care he deserves. He isn’t “broken”, he just needs someone who can continue supporting him and help him feel safe. My hope is to find someone who will love him as much as I do and give him the happy, comfortable life he deserves.
