Introducing Swift!
Swift is an affectionate two-year-old, 13 pound Mini Poodle who truly thrives on companionship. He adores spending time with his humans, engaging in playtime with toys, and embarking on adventures. His spirited nature and love for being around people make him a delightful addition to any household. Not only does he enjoy the company of everyone he meets, but he also effortlessly gets along with other dogs. His love for playtime is a testament to his active nature and the potential for fun interactions with his new family.
While he may hesitate during city walks and still needs some training, Swift revels in running around the backyard and participating in play sessions with other dogs. He's a fast learner in house training and enjoys receiving praise and rewards for a well-done job. His fondness for playing with toys will bring joyful energy into your home.
Among his beloved pastimes are playing with his toys, exploring every nook and cranny of the house, and interacting with other dogs.
If you are searching for a dog with a huge personality, one who greets you with boundless joy every time you walk through the door, craves attention, and is self-reliant, a Swift may be the perfect companion.
He is eagerly waiting to bring love and happiness to a forever home. If you're interested in meeting him, please get in touch with us to arrange a visit!
Swift is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. His adoption fee is $600.
Swift is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
