Meet Phelps! Phelps is a 6.5 year-old male Mini Poodle that weighs 20 pounds.
Phelps enjoys spending time with his foster family. His superpowers are that he is a calm, quiet, and friendly dog. He gets along well with humans (both adults and children) and dogs. He is still unsure about staying home alone and tends to bark and whine, but once his people come home he's as happy as can be!
Phelps loves to go everywhere with his foster family. He loves going to the park and going on his daily walks. In terms of house training, Phelps is learning not to pee indoors. Some of his favorite things are getting treats and mixing burger meat with dry dog food. He also enjoys sleeping in bed with his foster family.

Phelps is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY, and his adoption fee is $600.
Phelps is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
