Hear ye, hear ye, introducing His Royal Highness Prince Sparkle Butt!
Don't let the name fool you — Prince Sparkle Butt, aka "Sparky," is one of the sweetest, most humble little gentlemen you'll ever meet. This 7-year-old, 12-pound miniature poodle is quiet and unassuming, and happiest when life is peaceful and cozy.
Rescued from a puppy mill, Sparky has endured a great deal of change and stress in recent weeks. Because of everything he's been through, he's looking for a calm, patient home that will allow him plenty of time to decompress and adjust at his own pace. Sparky's favorite place is close to his person - quietly watching the world go by from the comfort of your lap. He also happily relaxes in his crate during the day and overnight. When he's not snoozing through one of his many daily naps, you'll probably find him hoping for a taste of peanut butter—his all-time favorite treat! Sparky is usually quiet as a mouse, but if he's hungry or wants attention he will let you know with an adorable bark and hop!
Like many dogs who have experienced hardship, Sparky is still figuring the world out. Leashes and walks are new territory, but he enjoys sniffing around a fenced yard (which is a requirement for adopting him). Stairs are something Sparky has never seen, nor does he understand them - thank goodness he is a highly portable size! Although he has been fostered with dogs and cats, Sparky lacks confidence around other animals and would love to be the sole star of your household. He is very friendly towards children but his ideal home is a quiet one with adults who can spoil him. He does very well going potty outside when given regular opportunities, but is just as happy to use a pee pad to do his business.
Sparky is looking for a kind, understanding adopter who appreciates that healing takes time. With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, Sparky has all the makings of a loyal, affectionate companion.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
