Story
Introducing Dot! Dot is a 5 1/2-year-old, 8 lb Mini Poodle who survived life as a puppy mill mama and is now slowly learning how to trust the world around her. She loves to cuddle close and has the sweetest little heart. Time, patience, and gentle attention are exactly what Dot needs to continue building confidence and learning what it means to simply be a beloved dog. After six weeks in foster care, she is finally starting to show true happiness, and it has been incredibly rewarding to watch her blossom. Dot is currently about 80% potty trained. She goes outside to pee consistently when taken out 4–5 times a day, though she still occasionally has small accidents and has not yet learned to poop outside. Her foster walks outside with her during potty breaks, which helps her feel safe and comfortable. She does not show much interest in staying outside yet and can still be nervous about unfamiliar sounds and smells. Because Dot strongly dislikes leashes, she will require a securely fenced yard and will most likely never be a “go for walks” type of dog. Her ideal home would be a semi-quiet household with someone patient and understanding who can continue helping her feel safe during outdoor potty time. Dot loves scrambled eggs and chicken and is currently eating a mix of soft and hard dog food. She needs a home filled with kindness, comfort, and gentle encouragement to help her continue her journey toward becoming the cutest little addition to a lucky family. Dot is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Story
Meet Hershey! Hershey is a 5 year old, 9.5-lb Red mini poodle who loves attention and to be close to his people. His superpowers include being so cute, you just want to cuddle with him and love on him. He's so good at putting a smile on your face. He gets along great with other dogs but can sometimes be a little protective of his food. He loves being outside in the grass and playing with toys. Maybe he should have been called Rocket the way he runs around the house curious about everything around him. He wants to be wherever you are and will follow you everywhere. He is still learning to walk on a lease but is showing improvement. In terms of house training, Hershey uses pee pads but still has a way to go to be housebroken. We are optimistic that with time and patience, he will figure it out! He loves treats and goodies and is very food motivated! Some of his favorite things are pieces of chicken and hot dogs (really any kind of food!) and toys that move or roll around. If you're looking for a companion that loves keeping you company, is very playful with a lot of energy, the biggest attention hog, and the cutest ears ever, Hershey might be your perfect match. Hershey is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Meet Barkley! Barkley is a 5 year old, 15-lb mini poodle who loves the outdoors and playing with other dogs! Barkley was rescued from a puppy mill so he is finally getting the chance to learn what a good life is like! He is a very curious little guy who is constantly looking for something or someplace new to explore. He spends as much time as he can soaking up the sun and just chillin' on the back deck. He is very shy around people and sudden noises, so he will need a patient home willing to give him the time he needs to blossom. He can't wait to let his personality shine! We are still working on leash and potty training but he's smart and making progress everyday! Barkley is crate trained and sees it as his safe space. He is fostered with other dogs and does wonderfully with them. His favorite treats are chicken and scrambled eggs. Barkley would love a home with a fenced in yard and another dog so he can continue making progress. He wants nothing more than to be part of a family who will love him! Barkley is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $450.00.
