Story
Oona is between 6-8 years old. I adopted Oona 2.5 years ago on transport from Texas. I was looking for a hiking/camping buddy and was told Oona was good with other dogs. A few days after she came home we discovered she actually had extreme anxiety and human/dog reactivity. I have done a lot of work with her and her anxiety has improved, and she is no longer reactive towards people. In fact, she loves having guests over and making human friends. However we have not made progress with dogs. She is dog reactive I would prefer she was the only dog in the home to reduce the stress of rehoming. She gets along great with cats and has lived with many cats since we got her. She takes fluoxetine daily for anxiety. Her ideal home is quiet, rural or suburban, with someone who has time to give her a short daily activity like enrichment games, training, or playing outside. She is very mellow and loves to cuddle on the couch. Happy to answer any questions about her. I love her very very much.

Story
Meet Moncho Male DOB: 4/9/2021 Weight: 13 pounds Breed: Mini Poodle / Chihuahua Mix Neutered (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Moncho is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be loud to be noticed—his charm is quiet, steady, and impossible to forget. At five years old, he’s fully grown into himself. He’s past the puppy stage and has settled into a calm, loving companion who knows how to simply be with his person. He’s ready for a home where he can finally relax, feel secure, and be loved for who he is. Personality Moncho is affectionate, gentle, and deeply loyal. He enjoys being close to his people and has a soft, comforting presence. He’s not overly demanding—he just wants to be near you, whether that’s sitting beside you or quietly following you from room to room. He forms strong bonds and gives his love in a calm, steady way that feels genuine. Breed Info As a Mini Poodle / Chihuahua mix, Moncho brings together: The Poodle’s intelligence, sensitivity, and trainability The Chihuahua’s strong loyalty and bond with their person This mix creates a dog who is smart, emotionally connected, and devoted, with a gentle and attentive nature. He will thrive with someone who appreciates a quieter companion and is looking for a loyal dog to share everyday life with. Story
**All dogs are by appointment only, please inquire through Petfinder, Adopt-a-pet, Rescueme.org or e-mail us directly at shelter@hbpets.org for the dog's questionnaire*** **Requires a dog buddy and securely fenced yard*** Hello, I am Noodle Doodle, I am between 2-3yrs old, spayed female and my DNA panel said I am mostly Mini Poodle and Mini Schnauzer. I came to HBPets as a stray, I was pretty scared when I arrived, incredibly sweet. The shelter crew and my foster home showed that I need a dog buddy, if I am with another dog noises are not as scary, if I am with a dog buddy and something scares me, I get close to my friend, but if I am alone my instinct is to run. I like cats who have no problem telling me to stay in my lane. My ideal home would have a dog buddy (required), who wants to run and play with me, like I do with my dog buddies here, a securely fenced yard (required), I love activity, so a walking partner and someone who understands about how noises affect me, sometimes. My adoption fee is $375
