Meet Kelsey! Kelsey is 10 years old but has the energy and playfulness of a puppy! Kelsey LOVES toys and he flips them up in the air, catches them and then shakes them like crazy. He is just so cute! He is about 10lbs and is good with all people, other dogs and cats. Kelsey has a dental cleaning scheduled for October 25th so we are seeking a foster to adopt for darling Kelsey. Kelsey has limited vision due to age, but he gets around no problem. Kelsey is current on all vaccines, neutered, microchipped and his blood panel came back with all normal values. Interested in Kelsey? Please email stmartinsanimalrescue@hotmail.com and ask for an application. 🐶🩵🐶

Story
Meet Nicky – the Sweetest Boy Around Nicky is a gentle, soft-hearted, year-and-a-half-old pup with the sweetest wavy fur and an even sweeter personality. Submissive, calm, and endlessly loving, he’s the kind of dog who just wants to make his people happy. He comes when called, aims to please, and carries a peaceful, gentle energy wherever he goes. This sweet boy loves being outside and enjoys easy leash walks—perfect for relaxed strolls around the neighborhood. He’s also wonderfully patient and will even let you dress him up in cute outfits. Nicky is great with kids and would fit beautifully into a calm family home. He’d also be perfectly content living with a single person or older adult who wants a loyal, loving companion by their side. If you’re looking for a soft, affectionate, eager-to-please pup, Nicky might just be your perfect match. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,600 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!   Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Story
Henri is an adorable little lamb that we saved from a crowded California shelter. He is just the sweetest guy and so snuggly soft. - Approximately 1.5 years old and 12 pounds - Possibly a poodle mix but we do not know for sure. He has long curly fur that was very matted when he arrived to us from the shelter and he had to be totally shaved down. We can show you his "before" photo from the shelter with longer fur. - Social and sweet with all people and likely fine with kids ages 8+ - Good with other dogs and fostered with 6 other small dogs. No aggression or issues with any of them. - We anticipate he is likely fine with cats although we have not formally tested him. - Doing well with potty habits and knows how to use a doggie door - Sleeps in bed with his foster mom and will sleep the whole night through - Not a barky guy so far, pretty quiet - VERY snuggly and loves to be held and cuddled Henri is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. He was groomed on 12/18/25. His adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland. $500 adoption fee Fostered in Vancouver, Washington APPLY TO ADOPT HENRI ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Did you say you wanted a little, quiet, older gent who likes cuddles and hanging out on the couch? Meet Teddy - 8 years old, and 11 pounds of adorable fluff. His dream day is breakfast then a nap, a little outing to sniff the pee mail and maybe meet the neighborhood dogs with whom he is very polite no matter their size, back home to the couch, eat, cuddle and repeat.  Teddy gets excited when you get home and does a cute bouncy run! He likes to sit out in the sun (when its there!).  He'd be a good apartment dog or a home with a yard.  He's easy that way! Teddy’s a smart boy who learns routines quickly. He’s house trained (is adept with the dog door) and doesn’t mark. As a Senior, he has some vision impairment and is a little hard of hearing, but he’ll follow you round the house with no trouble. Teddy has been successfully treated for heartworm. He will need one more follow up test in 6 months, and he also needs a dental which Underdogs will arrange with his current vet at our expense.  Everyone at our Vet loves Teddy Bear! Teddy would like a calm, child free home. Although he cohabitates well with other dogs, he is not up for playing or boisterous activity, and would therefore prefer the company of another calm senior or to be the only dog.   Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $280. Teddy is also part of our Senior for Senior Program with an adoption fee of $75.00 for those over 65 years old. He is being fostered in North Milwaukie, OR. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  . You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually or in person. For updates on all the Underdogs be sure to follow the Underdogs Rock Rescue Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UnderdogsRockRescueDecember 12, 2025, 12:29 am
