Story
Meet Willie, he is a one-year-old 13 pound poodle mix. Willie is definitely a lot like your average poodle and takes a little while to warm up to his person at first but once bonded, he will always be at your side! Willie is in good health, does ok with his foster family siblings and older kids. Willie would do best with somebody who is retired or works from home and is familiar with the poodle breed.

Story
Meet Sean! This lovable boy joined us from South Korea and is doing very well in his foster home in Seattle. He is the sweetest little guy.  Sean loves all people and gets along well with other dogs. We're not sure how he is with cats but he is a calm boy so he will likely be ok.  Sean does have some medical issues, and we are taking care of the ones that can be fixed. He has mild cataracts, a mild heart murmur and is hard of hearing. None of these issues currently need any further treatment. He also has a lower back issue because of a disc that is out of place. Our vet believes he may have been kicked or hit by a car. It is an old injury and cannot be surgically improved upon. As a result, a cannot jump up and down surfaces and should not go up and down stairs. He can go on normal walks, which he enjoys. He has a few broken teeth and we have him scheduled for some extractions. Finally, he has luxating patella in both hind legs (the knee cap pops out of place at times). The right leg is mostly affected and can be surgically repaired. We hope to work with whomever adopts Sean to take care of this (our organization will pay for the surgery if an adopter is willing to nurse him through his recovery).  Sean is a little gem who wants to be with his people all the time. He will cry a bit when he is alone so he may love a retired person to be his constant companion.  Sean is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $495 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Paco! This lovely boy came to us after being abandoned by his owner. He is around 8 months old and 18 lbs. Paco is a sweet boy who gets along with dogs, cats and kids. He did not come from great beginnings and was a little unsure of himself when he first arrived. He has settled in wonderfully in his foster home and is finding his feet. Paco loves laying in the sun and sniffing around the yard.  Paco has a deformity in his front legs. This was caused but he fact that some of the bones in his legs grew faster than others. As a result, his legs are very bowed and his toes point outward. We have had him evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon. The surgeon does not recommend surgery for him. He is not in pain and can function well. Long walks are not for him and he should not jump up and down surfaces but other than that he is a happy and playful boy. Paco is neutered, chipped and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $395.   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay, PayPal, or cash. Dawn’s story is one of sheer heartbreak & such sadness & disappointment for the beginning of his life. Dawn is the most joyous soul & that’s what makes his story absolutely soul destroying to think about the horrific situation he ended up in & who could ever do something like this to Dawn. Dawn ended up in the police pound in China where dogs go to die, the dogs sit in filth day & night, some end up with skin conditions so severe you don’t know what breed of dog they are. They are not fed properly, sit in water & living in pure hell & the smell of urine on them & the staining of their fur is unbearable. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers they rescued Dawn & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer & their devoted rescuers going in & getting Dawn out, his fate was death. They transferred Dawn to their own rescue & covid had hit & the waiting began. What was different about Dawn was, the vets & rescuers discovered Dawn was paralyzed & a humane had done this to him. He was paralyzed from the waste down, so he lost the use of his 2 back legs & was now incontinent. Along with Dawn & many other sweet souls they got well & healthy & waited to come to the US. This became a very extremely expensive situation with covid. We were finally able to bring everyone back through cargo which is an astronomical expense per dog, but through cargo Dawn was not allowed to be brought back so poor sweet beautiful Dawn had to continue to sit & wait until a flight volounteer was found & that amazing angel came along for Dawn & helped change his life & bring him home to us in the US. We believe every sweet soul such as Dawn & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Dawn is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him. Dawn was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Dawn was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. This beautiful soul is nothing but a joy. Dawn’s foster mum said Dawn is the brightest pup in the house. He happily bops around after the other pups never letting his disability slow him down. He loves cuddles and toys and will happily sit with you on the couch. His favorite things include a soft blanket, a cozy bed and a few squeaky toys. He gets super excited to be outside without his diaper but extra precautions do have to be taken to protect his feet and legs from scrapes. He does really well sleeping in a bed on the floor. The perfect family for Dawn will be someone with patience & a willingness to baby this adorable guy. He gets along well with other dogs and uses his cart for walks. Dawn also loves to be picked up & held & given lots of love. This little man is incontinent & will need a diaper but also enjoys the freedom of not wearing one. This sweet soul after everything he has endured is so forgiving. Dawn is nothing but joy & happiness & he does not have a mean bone in his body. We have had him with many breeds of dogs & he has done well with different size dogs & enjoys their company so we are looking for a home for this boy with a friend. He likes all sizes dogs. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Dawn & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. This little man has energy so in his new forever home they have to remember he has quite a bit of energy. He is very playful with dogs & gets along with dogs & adores them so he needs a friend or friends in the home, this is mandatory. Dawn has learnt to ride in the car & rides beautifully in the car, but we suggest a car seat for Dawn so he can see out the window. With Dawn we are only looking for a crate free home only for this lovely little man chap. We are also looking for a forever home for Dawn where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Dawn is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Dawn will come with his cart which was made for him in China. Dawn has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & we have had him currently in a loving foster home with other dogs & he enjoys their company so we are looking for a home only with a playful dog or other playful dogs in the & this is mandatory for his adoption. A fully fenced backyard is also mandatory for Dawn’s new forever home. Dawn is now roughly 13.6 lbs & has put on quite a bit of weight since coming to the US, he is 3 years old & perhaps a poodle havanese mix, he is neutered by laser by our wonderful vets & microchipped, had blood work done, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. Dawn is paralyzed & cannot use his back legs but gets around so well & is an absolute pleasure of a boy. We have spent far more on Dawn with paying for his boarding fees, microchip, his medical care, blood work. Dawn was neutered by laser by our wonderful vets, received shots, dewormer etc. Dawn has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Dawn was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Dawn’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Dawn potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Dawn & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Webex due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Dawn who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this very spirited little chap. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Dawn has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay which is Zelle, PayPal, or cash. Our ever so dedicated rescuers & who never ever stop fighting for these beloved beautiful souls told us about the beautiful Becky who ended up on in the brutal police pound where it is an absolutely horrific death for these babies. Becky she of been a result of covid being dumped or just not wanted anymore, who knows? How she ended up there we will never know, but what we do know is her death would of been a extremely cruel death but thankfully she was rescued by our wonderful rescuers before anything further could happen to her. The length of time she endured on the streets we can’t even imagine what she went through nor experienced. Thankfully one of the truly dedicated Chinese rescues who are outstanding rescuers rescued the beautiful Becky. This poor girl was so dirty, smelly, filthy & a emaciated & matted mess & that she is unrecognizable to the dog you see today. They took Becky & Hana to their facility & looked after Becky & we could not wait to change her future but covid had hit & the waiting began. Becky was taken to the vets to get her well & healthy. This became a very expensive situation with covid. We were finally able to bring everyone back through cargo which is an astronomical expense per dog, but we believe every sweet soul such as Becky & her friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Our very sweet Becky is now looking for that very magical forever home. Becky was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Becky was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Becky’s foster mum said she is another sweetheart & she & Hana follow her everywhere she goes & is so loyal, what another beauty she is, inside & out. But she is a lot more reserved & a bit more shyer but adores playing. It’s so stinking cute to see these pair laying with each other. We all love her so much to. She is also so easy to love & adore. She is so very patient & enjoys being with people along with dogs. She also enjoys a good treat now she knows what they are & she takes treats like a little lady. She has put on weight instantly since being in the rescue & has adjusted so well to being in the US. She still would need to put on more weight. Becky has done well walking on a harness & leash & done so well with us so far but would still need continued work. Becky is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Becky adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing her, cleaning her eyes, cleaning her ears & grooming her, she loves being touched in general. She jumps at you when she wants or knows you are going to pick her up & she so enjoys being loved when you pick her up. Becky did really well with being bathed considering we don’t know how many times she has been bathed in the short time she has been on this earth. We have had her with many breeds of dogs & in her foster home she was fostered with Hana & they love each other so much & would play & play. She has done well with different size dogs & adores dogs & running & playing with them so that’s why she needs other dog friends in her new home. She is also still learning her puppy manners. We would like both these girls to stay together as they truly love each other. We have had Becky with both men & woman & she adores both. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Becky & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. She is making up for lost time & who could blame her. She adores sleeping in the bed with her foster mum so in forever home she needs a home where she can sleep with her family. Becky has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. She is such a sweetheart of a little lady. She is so good in the car & enjoys a good journey. When we first got her in the US & drove her, she also slept & slept & it appears was making up for lost time. With Becky we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely sweetheart only because of her past. We are also looking for a forever home for Becky where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Becky is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be very patient with her & understanding. Becky has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & in her foster home she is with other dogs & loves playing & snuggling with the dogs & enjoys their company so we are only looking for a home where she can be with another young dog or other playful dogs in the home. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Becky’s new forever home. Becky is a female, roughly 13 months old & possibly a poodle havanese mix, what she is mixed with we are not sure. She is now roughly 16.2 lbs & has put on quite a bit of weight since coming to the US & being with us in the rescue. Becky is spayed & female, she had a dental/scale & polish along with dental x-rays. She is heart worm negative, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, had her shots including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed twice. We have spent far more on Becky with bringing her to the US with her travel airfare costs, alone bringing her through cargo, without anything else then on top of that paying for her medical care & boarding fees, including a dental/scale & polish & x-rays, spay, shots, medication for a uti, microchip etc, than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Becky has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats. But it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Becky was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & we do not know Becky’s exact birthday. But it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is.
