🐾 Hi, my name is Pino!
I’m a 3-year-old boy, a Poodle weighing around 7kg (15.4lbs). I have small, sparkling eyes that I hope will steal your heart! I was rescued from a hoarding situation, and now I’m learning what it means to live a different kind of life. New places and unfamiliar people can still make me nervous, but with a loving family by my side, I hope to slowly learn that the world can be a safe and happy place. 🤍
At home, I’m a calm little guy who enjoys relaxing on the sofa or curling up in a soft dog bed. I’m already potty-trained and crate-trained, and I’m very good at walking on a leash! I enjoy having a familiar routine, so a peaceful home where I can settle in at my own pace would be wonderful for me. 🛋️
I’m a sensitive boy, and I need my people to understand that I can be easily startled. If someone approaches me from behind or tries to touch me unexpectedly, I may feel frightened. Loud noises and situations involving men can also make me nervous. Please let me approach you first, sniff around, and get comfortable before reaching out to me. A gentle voice, calm movements, and plenty of patience will help me learn that I can trust you. Every little step toward feeling safe is a big achievement for me. 💛
Because I can still try to run away when I’m scared, keeping me safe is especially important. I’ll need to wear a secure leash whenever we go outside, and my family should be careful with doors and exits while I adjust to my new surroundings. With time, consistency, and continued positive training, I hope to become more confident in the world around me. 🦮
I get along well with children, but I may not be comfortable living with other dogs or cats. I would likely do best as the only pet in the home, where I can enjoy a peaceful environment and receive the attention and understanding I need. I’m also a quiet and gentle companion. I don’t bark, bite, or chew on household belongings, and I’m happy to spend my time resting comfortably in a familiar space.
More than anything, I’m looking for a family who won’t rush me or expect me to become confident overnight. I may need more time than some other dogs to feel comfortable with new people, but I hope you’ll see that I’m worth waiting for. I need someone who will respect my boundaries, celebrate my progress, and show me through everyday kindness that I’m finally home.
