Stella is a 3-year-old, 50-to-55-pound mama dog of six, and she's a good one! A combination of Poodle and Sheepdog, she has a great temperament. Her foster says she's playful, dog friendly, super sweet, and loving. Add to that her beautiful coat, and it's obvious she's a terrific girl, don't you think? Cilantro was one of the most badly matted dogs we have ever taken into rescue. He was found roaming the streets and was in sorry shape, indeed! Along with the matting of his coat, our vet discovered that he had a major hernia, which was immediately removed. A Doodle mix, he is about 2 years old and weighs 53 pounds. Now he's a happy, happy boy who is super sweet, a real cuddle bug who loves toys and going on walks. In fact, he's a real social butterfly! Meet Dexter! Dexter is an absolute doll and a fluffy ball of love and affection. This precious gentleman has spent his entire life being passed around like an old sweater: worn out, tossed aside, rehomed again and again whenever he became “inconvenient.” His most recent stop was only a few short months, through no fault of his own. Now, Dexter is thriving in his foster home and finally getting the love he’s always deserved. His personality is shining and we’ve discovered he’s a comfort connoisseur who carefully arranges every bed and approximately seventeen blankets until the snuggle geometry is just right. He also loves wearing warm clothes on cold days. Dexter gets along beautifully with two resident cats, enjoys long sniffy walks, and has started showing off his playful side, especially with small, soft toys he can proudly carry around. After a lifetime of being overlooked, Dexter is devoted to his person. He’s a top-tier snuggler who loves being petted and follows his foster mom from room to room like a loyal little shadow. If she leaves, he gently collects a shoe or two to nap with. Not to chew, just to feel close. He’s just a great pup. Dexter would love a home with people who are around often, enjoy a cozy routine, and have another dog companion for him. He walks well on leash, rides nicely in the car, and would enjoy a fenced yard to explore. He sleeps through the night with adorable snores, and while he's housetrained he does best with a predictable routine and regular opportunities to go outside. Gentle guidance and lots of affection are his love language. He has some hearing loss, mild arthritis, and itchy skin (all managed with care) and is on a special diet to help him gain weight and soothe his stomach.
