Story
Meet Peter! Peter is a small, white Mini Poodle-Schnauzer mix with a lot of personality packed into his little frame. Rescued from the shelter just in time, Peter has been given a second chance at life, and now we’re looking for his perfect forever home. Peter’s ideal adopter is an experienced dog owner who understands that some dogs need a little extra care and patience. Peter has shown some bite tendencies, and while we’re working with a trainer to understand his triggers, it’s important to be mindful of his boundaries. He doesn’t like being picked up and prefers not to be pet unless he comes to you first. When he feels safe and comfortable, Peter can be snuggly and affectionate—but it’s always on his terms. He is good with other dogs, so a canine companion could be a great fit for him. However, because of his biting history, Peter should not be in a home with children. Peter isn’t just a dog—he’s a work in progress who needs someone willing to invest time, patience, and love into helping him thrive. In the right home, Peter’s personality will shine, and he’ll reward you with loyalty and companionship. If you’re the experienced, patient adopter Peter needs, please fill out an application on our website. Peter is waiting for someone to see the good dog he truly is and help him live his best life.

Story
LULU – Schnauzer Mix | Spayed Female | 2 Years Old | 26 lbs LULU s a shy girl when first meeting new people, but once she feels safe and loved, her sweet personality shines through. She becomes friendly, playful, and affectionate. She enjoys being around children, gets along well with other dogs, sleeps comfortably in a crate, rarely barks, loves car rides, and enjoys playing with toys. Lulu would make a wonderful family companion. She loves going for walks and is equally happy sharing quiet moments or joining in on daily activities. She adapts quickly to changes and settles well into new routines. Lulu’s past was heartbreaking. She was rescued alongside another dog after spending years confined to a cage in poor conditions—hungry, cold, and without love or care. Thankfully, a rescuer learned of their situation and gave them the chance for a new beginning. Now Lulu is ready to leave her difficult past behind and find a forever home where she can finally experience the love and security she deserves. If you can offer LULU the loving home she deserves, please contact Reyna: miracledogrescue@gmail.com 323-383-8883

Story
OTTO: Schnauzer Mix | Neutered Male | 2.5 Years Old | 19 lbs OTTO is a gentle, shy soul with a tender heart that is slowly learning to trust again. While he may be a little reserved at first, he shows no signs of aggression or anxiety—just a quiet hope for kindness and love. With patience and reassurance, Otto blossoms into a sweet companion who enjoys cuddles, gentle affection, and being close to his person. He gets along well with other dogs, sleeps comfortably in a crate, and even enjoys car rides. He would do best in a calm loving home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. OTTO past was not an easy one. He and three other dogs were rescued from a breeding situation where they were kept in heartbreaking conditions and treated as a source of profit rather than as living beings deserving of care. Otto spent much of his life confined to a cage. Thanks to a dedicated rescuer, he was finally brought to safety and given a second chance. Now, Otto is on a journey of healing. With love, patience, and a gentle environment, he will continue to grow into a happy, trusting, and devoted companion. He has so much love to give—he just needs someone willing to show him that the world can be kind. Every dog deserves a safe and loving home. Adopt a rescue dog today; we are their voice! If you think you might be able to offer a great home for OTTO, please contact Reyna. Email: miracledogrescue@gmail.com Phone: 323 383-8883

Story
❗ Current Location: South Korea❗ • Personality: She's sociable and energetic. She adapts to new places right away and loves to reach out to new people and friends she meets. She knows how to say hello to familiar people and friends. She loves to play with other dogs and loves to play with people. She picks up on new training quickly, so we think she would make a great dog for a family with a good understanding and training knowledge of dogs. She's a bit of a sneaky prankster right now, so she can get into trouble, but she's affectionate, gentle, and full of energy. • Affinity with: -Cats: She currently lives with cats in a temporary foster home. She is not aggressive with cats but is very interested in them, so if you have a cat that likes dogs, she would be fine. -Dogs: She is currently living with the dogs in her foster home without any issues. They play well with each other, are socialized, and warm up quickly to new dogs they meet. -Adults/Kids: She is very fond of people and loves to be petted. She warms up quickly to people she meets for the first time. • Shedding: Moderate. There is shedding in certain periods. Her fur is best brushed daily with a silicone brush. • Walking Manner: She loves to go for walks, both familiar and new, and prefers to take fast, wide, territorial walks (rather than slow, sniffing the trails). He also loves to run in the park, but will sometimes try to run outside if there is no fence. She is fast and has a lot of energy, so she loves to run around in large parks and meet people and dogs. She also loves to go for walks in the mountains, but she has a hunting instinct and is interested in small snakes, rodents, and birds. • Housetrained: She goes potty on pee pads and highly prefers to go outside. She can chew on wood or plastic furniture and grab small items fallen on the floor and play with them. She's very playful and will run around with you if you have a like-minded friend in the house. • Separation Anxiety: She's always been around other dogs, so we can't confirm, but we think she'll be fine on her own. • Bark or Howl: She barks briefly when she hears strangers outside. There is no howl • Carsickness: She had drooling at first, but now she rides well.

Story
Dick Chasey (AKA Dick Tracy) is an 18-month-old Schnauzer mix with a bright, happy spirit and an affectionate, people-loving personality. He was found tied to a shopping cart outside a Food 4 Less in North Hollywood. The kind man who discovered him searched the surrounding area and waited with him for over an hour in hopes of finding his owner. When no one came forward, he posted him on Nextdoor. He had no microchip or tag, and nobody claimed him. A local rescuer heard his story and connected with Shelter Hope so he could be safely placed and find a loving home. Dick Chasey is sweet, happy, and incredibly playful. He enjoys being active and has a fun, goofy personality that keeps everyone smiling. He is very affectionate with people and loves attention, always wanting to be part of whatever is going on. He’s also smart, expressive, and full of personality. He is an energetic young dog who would thrive with an active person or family that can keep up with his playful spirit and give him plenty of exercise, enrichment, and engagement. He enjoys walks, rides well in the car, and settles in best after getting his energy out. He is also a jumper, so he would do best in a home with a tall, secure fence to keep him safe while he plays and explores. Now safe and cared for, Dick Chasy is ready to find a forever home where he can be loved, understood, and finally settle into the happy life he deserves! ---- Looking to Adopt? Story
Please text 661-537-3410 for inquiries Emails take longer for a response the scruffy little heart-stealer with wise eyes and the kind of fuzzy face that makes strangers smile. With his salt-and-pepper coat, floppy ears, and a beard that makes him look like he’s been dishing out life advice since birth, Waffles is what happens when adorable meets soulful. He’s a Schnauzer-Dachshund mix, which basically means he’s part couch potato, part shadow, and all heart. His little legs carry him with surprising speed, especially if you crinkle a treat bag or say the word “walk.” But his favorite place? Curled up next to someone who loves him. Rescued from a tough start, Waffles has already proven he's a survivor. Now, nestled safely in a foster home, he’s waiting — not just for a home, but for his human. Someone who gets that real magic often comes in a scruffy, low-riding, tail-wagging package. Could Winston be your next best friend?
