Bilbo is a darling boy that was rescued from a high kill shelter in Riverside. He is such a fun confident dog. Bilbo was really slimy when we got him. To our surprise, he fluffed out and is quite the handsome guy. He is very loving, super fun and dog friendly. He is 2 years old and weighs 13 pounds All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Meet Kermit Kermit is a sweet little older man. He is good with cats and other dogs. He is a bit deaf and semi blind but very sweet, adorable and cuddly. He has a good appetite! He doesn't need to go for walks and can just be carried out into the yard or hang out on leash for a slow stroll to sniff around. Since he's older, he is wearing pants/belly band in the house. :) He and his two other siblings were being evicted from their home and they were going to be turned in to shelter. Thankfully a Good Samaritan stepped in and intercepted this! Kermit would like to be adopted with Tilly and Harley, attaching links for them here... Story

Fred and his sister Ginger were seen being dumped out of a car in the park. People tried to catch them for several weeks, but they were too scared and ran away. Finally, one of our volunteers was able to get them to safety. They were not chipped and did not have a collar or tag on. Fred is a healthy young Schnauzer/Affenpinscher mix, and Ginger is a Shiba Inu mix. She could be a supermodel with her long legs! Fred and Ginger are very sweet and loving. They are pee pad trained, ride well in the car and walk nicely on a leash. They are quiet, healthy, well behaved dogs. They are understandably a little shy when you first meet them, but quickly warm up. These happy dogs are very smart and devoted. They will make a great addition to any home. We will adopt them out separately to the right home, or together as a bonded pair. We had them fully vaccinated, fixed and microchipped. Tiny, loving, and so sweet....That's our Lexi! This little female, 2 year old, 5lb Cairn Terrier mix came to us with two other dogs when they were seen being thrown out of a car at night in a parking lot. Their owner just dumped them like trash and never looked back. Thankfully, a rescuer we work with was notified about these dogs and went out and caught them and got them to safety. They reached out to us and asked if we could take them into our foundation and of course we said, yes! Lexi is absolutely adorable in person! She is the type of "purse" dog that you can take everywhere with you! She is a good mix of fun and calm. She could be your one and only if you are committed to doting on her 24/7 and giving her the love and attention she deserves. She could also (best scenario) be adopted with her bff that she was rescued with...Lilo, a 2 yr old, male, Maltipoo that is about 9lbs. They both absolutely love each other and adopting them together would make the transition into a new home a lot smoother. We are looking for an adult only home where the owners are not gone long hours during the day or work from home. She cannot go into a home where the owners are gone several hours a day. A home with a safe and secure backyard would be ideal! Sweet little Lexi had a very rough life to her young beginning, so we want to make sure she get the best forever home out there! Lexi is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. We only adopt in Greater Los Angeles Areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Lexi's adoption fee is $550.
