Story
With sadness I amlooking to find a new forever home for my sweet Cleo. Between work and travels I am away too much and she deserves better. So, if you are seriously interested in a slightly high maintenance, anxiety prone 4lb, 8 year old, tiny dog, please apply. She MUST be the only pet and needs a home body parent that might take her along on their daily tasks. Her most favorite thing in the world is to sit in your lap all day. She is mostly potty-pad trained, absolutely hates to touch grass, and when outside, prefers the concrete. She receives eye drops every morning for her dry eye issue and has anxiety meds she needs when she is going to be left alone for any time at all (high maintenance, remember?) She is spayed and current on all vaccines. She travels well in her car seat but prefers to be in your arms. Cleo has a ton of love to give to the right person. She is a cuddler! 💕

Story
This is Heaven, my sweet girl who has been a part of my life for 8 years. She is fully house-trained, gentle, and has the sweetest personality. Heaven has been nothing but loyal and loving, and this decision is extremely hard for me. Since having my baby, my schedule has become overwhelming and I haven’t been able to give Heaven the time, attention, and care she truly deserves. I want to make sure she is in a home where she will be loved, spoiled, and cared for the way she has always cared for me. Heaven is great indoors, loves affection, and just wants to be near people. She deserves a home where someone can give her consistency, quality time, and lots of love. I’m not giving her up because she did anything wrong I just want the best for her. If you can offer Heaven a safe, stable, and loving home, please reach out. Serious inquiries only i want to make sure she goes to the right person. Thank you for understanding. ❤️

Story
Bella and Chloe are a pair of well-behaved and affectionate senior Yorkies. While they do appear to be purebred, they are larger than the average Yorkie; Bella is 14 pounds and Chloe is 15. They are 10 years old. They are sisters and are very closely bonded, so we are adopting them out together. Whoever adopts them will be very glad for that as they are a delightful pair. If one sets foot out of a room, the other automatically follows. They sleep together (in foster dogmom’s bed, of course), wrassle together, and go outside exploring together. If you have a lap, Bella and Chloe want to sit in it—they are snuggle bunnies. If your lap happens to be empty, one or the other (or both) will beg for permission to curl up with you. They will be happy to start with some head petting and butt scritching, but eventually the side legs are going to pop up to expose their pudgy little bellies, in case you’re in the mood to rub a dog tummy. They are still quite spry and can jump up on and off the couch by themselves, but I set a cheap foam ramp by the couch for safety. They both like small squeaky toys. Chloe will walk around for half an hour at a time with a toy in her mouth. They don’t chew them or destroy them or make them squeak; they just like to carry them around. Bella’s favorite activity is to stand by the window and bark at the passers-by. (If you would prefer that she not bark, just close the blinds.) As seniors, Bella and Chloe have got their manners down. They are house-trained, though you should expect accidents with them coming into a new house. They are non-destructive (don’t chew anything but toys). They live in a house with 6 other dogs and they get along with everybody. They’re a little shy around new people but they warm up very quickly. They do not bark, except for the above-mentioned entertainment purposes. They would be great dogs for a couple or family with older kids (12 and up). They are so grateful to their foster for pulling them out of the shelter and will quickly come to love their new family. The adoption fee for both dogs is $400 and includes neuter, all shots & microchip. They are heartworm-negative and on heartworm medication. We have also had their teeth cleaned. Note: We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that seem to be a good fit for the dog.

Story
Woody is a two year old, 10 lb SilkyTerrier mix. He is cute, soft and scruffy! He and nine other small dogs were dumped on a country road in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Because we don't know anything about his history, his breed mix is just our best guess. Our wonderful, dedicated volunteers who have been caring for these dogs all say they have fun and friendly dispositions. Woody has now been fully vetted and ready for adoption. If you would like to give Woody a forever home that really does last forever, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Meet Whiskey, one of the pups from our Swifties group. Foster mom says that he is the gentlest, sweetest soul you will ever meet! Whiskey is a 3.5 year old, 12 lb SilkyTerrier mix. He and nine other small dogs were dumped on a country road in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Whiskey has already become a favorite in his foster home. He is a cuddle champion, happiest snuggled beside one of his people or one of his beloved toys. Completely crate and potty trained, he's a polite little gentleman who just wants to be near his people. Whiskey does wonderfully with other small dogs, but big dogs can be a little scary for him. He needs a patient adopter to help him feel safe, but once he does, you will become his whole world. Whiskey has heartworms because he wasn't kept on heartworm prevention. Humane Tomorrow will pay for his treatment with our partner vet, and the treatments are very successful. If you would like to give Whiskey a forever home that really does last forever, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.
