Story
She is a very, very sweet dog. She is more of companion dog. She likes to sit at your feet and follow you around while she gets along with children and other dogs. She basically ignores them. She's very loyal when I cooked breakfast in the morning she sat with her back to me, surveying the room to make sure that you know no terrible people came up to me. She's not aggressive, but she will growl if a stranger comes up to her, and she is standing next to me. She's never snapped at anybody and she is partially housebroken. She will go TT outside and she will poop outside but occasionally she has gone upstairs to my bedroom and pooped. She's so sweet. I don't want to just send her to a shelter because I don't want her to be killed. I would keep her if I could, but my house is too busy and too crazy and she needs the time for somebody to love her, and she needs a regular schedule that I do not have

Story
Archer came to our rescue after being picked up as a stray. He doesn’t know his front ankles aren’t ‘normal’ as he gets around just fine. This condition is Angular Limb Disorder and attempting surgeries to resolve could make his situation worse. While he wouldn’t be a great running companion he still loves going for walks and short jogs. Long or strenuous walks could make him sore, so his family would want to avoid that as he would go if asked. This handsome boy is a happy, outgoing, gentle soul. He loves humans of all sizes and ages. Being with his humans and getting attention is his very favorite thing. He lives with lots of other dogs and is fine with everyone unless they are nasty to him; he won’t be bullied by anyone. He is good around the cats in his foster home who are very dog savvy. Archer has excellent house manners and is crate trained. He is engaged with his humans and treat motivated so would do well with training. He already has great recall and will sit for treats. He loves going for rides and would be a great go-everywhere dog. Archer is fully vetted – current vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Vincent is an 18-month-old Catahoula mix who weighs 56 lbs. He spent several months at a city shelter before being rescued by his foster family. He's now living the good life while he waits for his forever family. Vincent is full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm. He’s smart, playful, and thrives on interaction, making him a great match for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and is ready to continue his training and development. Vincent does well with other dogs but can be a bit dominant with other males. He tends to prefer female canine companions and would do best in a home without cats. Vincent is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on his rabies, DAPPV, and Bordetella vaccinations. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic dog who will keep you on your toes and be your constant companion, Vincent may be the perfect match.  His adoption fee is $275 and you can apply to meet/adopt him here:  Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program.
