Story
Archer came to our rescue after being picked up as a stray. He doesn’t know his front ankles aren’t ‘normal’ as he gets around just fine. This condition is Angular Limb Disorder and attempting surgeries to resolve could make his situation worse. While he wouldn’t be a great running companion he still loves going for walks and short jogs. Long or strenuous walks could make him sore, so his family would want to avoid that as he would go if asked. This handsome boy is a happy, outgoing, gentle soul. He loves humans of all sizes and ages. Being with his humans and getting attention is his very favorite thing. He lives with lots of other dogs and is fine with everyone unless they are nasty to him; he won’t be bullied by anyone. He is good around the cats in his foster home who are very dog savvy. Archer has excellent house manners and is crate trained. He is engaged with his humans and treat motivated so would do well with training. He already has great recall and will sit for treats. He loves going for rides and would be a great go-everywhere dog. Archer is fully vetted – current vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Nova was born on 01/10/2026 from an accidental litter. Her family reached out to Legacy Humane Society for assistance in finding her and her sister new homes. Their Mom has been spayed, and the pups are also spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on heartworm prevention. Their adoption fee is $325.  Puppies require someone with lots of time and patience to raise them to be the best dogs they can be. They will do well with dogs, cats and kids. Since puppies don't have all of their manners yet, they may be too much for toddlers and very young children. If you're interested in meeting them, please apply online and we'll be in touch: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Max is approximately 1-year-old Great Pyrenees Pointer Mixes who has come such a long way.Temporary foster situation turned into something much bigger, as his owner has abandoned him. Max is affectionate, and full of personality. He loves his people deeply… and yes, he will absolutely take over your bed if you let him.✔️ Clean bill of health ✔️ Up to date on all vaccinations ✔️ Recent fecal test – clear, no parasites ✔️ Gained ~15 pounds each and thriving ✔️ Approximately 70 lbs each He walks well on leash in calm settings, but like many young, large dogs, he will pull if another dog is barking at him—so he’ll need continued training and consistency. He will need:• A home with a large, secure yard (non-negotiable) • An active family or someone experienced with large breeds • Ongoing structure and guidance to keep them progressing

Story
Hank is a super sweet and goofy boy. He was found as a stray in the country, just trying to survive on his own. People were very mean to him when he would come around looking for food.  Because of this, he is very shy/nervous in new places and around new people, but non aggressive.   Once you win him over, he will give you his entire heart.  He is extremely loving and affectionate, quite the big baby. Hank is loyal, and goofy.  He loves to play and loves adventure. His smile as is big as Texas and his little under bite is one of the cutest things you'll see! He would do best in a low traffic home. He has been fostered with a small (very dog experienced) child and is great, but he is a bit hyper and clumsy at times and can accidentally knock a small child down, (he's 80lbs), so he would do best with older children.  He would thrive in a home with another dog to play with in a big back yard, but does require slow introductions as he is wary of new dogs at first.  He is rambunctious with his dog friends and needs a friend that tolerate his ruff house play!  He has been with other dogs ranging from 15-65lbs.  Hank does well with non confrontational cats! Hank has a (back) foot deformity.  We do not know if it was a birth defect or if something happened to him, but he only has one toe on his back foot, which contributes some to his clumsiness.  He has been on glucosamine and joint supplements his entire time in rescue and it is recommended he stays on them his entire life to prevent early arthritis because of his foot.  It is not expensive and can be bought over the counter. If you're interested in meeting this baby, please reach out or submit an application on our website. Please be sure to include your phone number on inquiries and check your spam folder for email responses!  ##609473##
