WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Cameo - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Cameo, a beautiful name for a beautiful gal like me. I have the sweet natured attitude that will make me a great family addition. At 2 years old, I'm also at a great age where as I'm still playful but way past that destructive puppy stage. That sure makes for a nice combo for my new family. Oh and another nice thing...I'm already house trained too!! I have an amazing tiger striped pattern in my coat and show stopping amber colored eyes which make for a stunning combo!! My hairytage of the Mountain Cur and the Plott hound makes for the beautiful swirling stripe pattern of my coat, a genetic characteristic. My personality is sweet, sweet, sweet and I am very human oriented. I love giving and getting kisses and spending time with my people. Also, for a medium sized dog of 55ish lbs, I am a great snuggler!! I will wrap myself around my Foster Mum and delight in the attention!! I will stay there snuggling for as long as she has time! I walk well on leash and know how to sit and stay. I have great focus and pay attention really well. I am a people pleaser and will try to do whatever it takes to make you happy!! I get on well with most all other doggies and enjoy romping in the yard getting a good game of keep away or tag you're it going but I LOVE hoomans and haven't met a stranger yet, I'm pretty sure everyone is here just to give me lots of lovins!! :) I'm a great size to make you a pawsome action adventure type companion, whether it's going for neighborhood strolls, camping trips or hikes in the wilderness, I'm willing and ready! And then after our fun, I love my beloved snuggles by the fireplace (on the couch is fine too). I'm up for trying it all with...YOU!! If you are looking for a "dog of a different color", then look no further!! I for sure want to be your gal!!

Story
Meet Lucy, a delightful 2.5-year-old, 50-pound mountain cur mix bursting with love! Lucy’s owner sadly has dementia and could no longer care for her. However, Lucy had been a beloved member of the family since she was a puppy, and it shows in her good manners and sweet nature.Lucy is a playful girl who loves nothing more than running around the yard with her canine companions. She’s also a fan of leisurely walks and is equally content lounging on the couch, snuggled up with her favorite humans.Lucy is house trained and leash trained, and she knows not to jump on people. She’s incredibly sweet and adores people of all ages. Plus, her friendly nature extends to other dogs; she’s a great playmate and gets along well with them.If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and well-mannered companion to add joy to your home, Lucy might just be the perfect match for you!Lucy’s adoption fee is mostly sponsored by the generous family of her owner.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Story
This is Ezzy (Ezwick), A.K.A. Winkie! He’s a little over two years old, around 70lbs., and mostly an indoor dog, who loves to be outside and sniff the air. He is "skidish" and can act on guard around ANY other dog, as he feels they are invading his territory. This is due to the poor ownership and home he was in previous to ours, in which he was left to "live" in his crate, ignored, and had never been on a leash , or for a walk. He’s super faithful loves to lay on his back with his legs in the air, and get his belly rubbed or scratched. He’s all around HAPPY, and wants to make sure that everyone at home is safe and okay. He’s a good “guard” dog, and will bark and alert. He needs to hear kind words, have plenty of physical touch, and an owner who is a home-body!!

Story
Rosco P followed me and my dog home from a walk. Very friendly and not scared of people which makes me think he was abandoned. Was reported on Nextdoor in another neighborhood near me as having been wondering on the street. Scanned, but no chip can be located. Recently had him fixed and added a microchip. He wants to play chase with my cat, but don't know if a less reactive cat would do better. He likes to play with my senior dog, but getting better at understanding boundaries. Good on a leash, but wants to tug sniff a lot at first. Settles in quickly. Good in the house and car. Sleeps in his crate without issue. Assuming 1-2 years old (One vet said 1. Another said 3). Would make for a good walking/running companion. Probably would prefer to have a buddy if owner is gone a lot. He is currently 38lbs. Probably will get heavier now that he is fixed, but don't see him growing anymore.
