WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Cameo - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Cameo, a beautiful name for a beautiful gal like me. I have the sweet natured attitude that will make me a great family addition. At 2 years old, I'm also at a great age where as I'm still playful but way past that destructive puppy stage. That sure makes for a nice combo for my new family. Oh and another nice thing...I'm already house trained too!! I have an amazing tiger striped pattern in my coat and show stopping amber colored eyes which make for a stunning combo!! My hairytage of the Mountain Cur and the Plott hound makes for the beautiful swirling stripe pattern of my coat, a genetic characteristic. My personality is sweet, sweet, sweet and I am very human oriented. I love giving and getting kisses and spending time with my people. Also, for a medium sized dog of 55ish lbs, I am a great snuggler!! I will wrap myself around my Foster Mum and delight in the attention!! I will stay there snuggling for as long as she has time! I walk well on leash and know how to sit and stay. I have great focus and pay attention really well. I am a people pleaser and will try to do whatever it takes to make you happy!! I get on well with most all other doggies and enjoy romping in the yard getting a good game of keep away or tag you're it going but I LOVE hoomans and haven't met a stranger yet, I'm pretty sure everyone is here just to give me lots of lovins!! :) I'm a great size to make you a pawsome action adventure type companion, whether it's going for neighborhood strolls, camping trips or hikes in the wilderness, I'm willing and ready! And then after our fun, I love my beloved snuggles by the fireplace (on the couch is fine too). I'm up for trying it all with...YOU!! If you are looking for a "dog of a different color", then look no further!! I for sure want to be your gal!!

Story
Meet Lucy, a delightful 2.5-year-old, 50-pound mountain cur mix bursting with love! Lucy’s owner sadly has dementia and could no longer care for her. However, Lucy had been a beloved member of the family since she was a puppy, and it shows in her good manners and sweet nature.Lucy is a playful girl who loves nothing more than running around the yard with her canine companions. She’s also a fan of leisurely walks and is equally content lounging on the couch, snuggled up with her favorite humans.Lucy is house trained and leash trained, and she knows not to jump on people. She’s incredibly sweet and adores people of all ages. Plus, her friendly nature extends to other dogs; she’s a great playmate and gets along well with them.If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and well-mannered companion to add joy to your home, Lucy might just be the perfect match for you!Lucy’s adoption fee is mostly sponsored by the generous family of her owner.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

First it makes me extremely sad to have to do this. She is a lover of people and has been trained to protect her owner. This is ver hard for me but it’s for her. She needs to run and play all the time and unfortunately I can’t do that with her most days.

The cutest, sweetest pup you’ll ever meet! Leeroy is in excellent health, with shots up to date; he’s also house trained with no past accidents in our house, and no chewing of things/furniture. He rarely barks and *lives* for his daily walks and backyard games of chase/catch. He can sit, lay down, stay

Story
I acquired Mia in Bastrop animal center. She is very intelligent and can sit, speak, shake with both feet, rollover and stop. She loves to run and play with other dogs and humans. She goes to Petsmart and DogTopia to play when I’m gone for long periods of time. Who ever adopts her is getting a gorgeous and happy dog that is trained. I call her Momma some times in a sweat voice nickname. It pains me to do this but I’m allergic to her dandruff and I’m moving and starting a new job so I have to do this. She still has her puppy eyes and very soft ears. She needs a loving home with room to run and she will also come with toys a bed and many collars and leashes. It’s a perfect scenario for someone who is ready for a dog that’s wants to play.
