Story
Meet Biscuit III â&#194&#128&#194&#147 the silliest and most playful 2-year-old Mountain Cur pup youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll ever lay eyes on! This goofy girl is equal parts affectionate snuggle bug and energetic explorer. With her floppy ears, sparkling eyes, and adorable clumsiness, Biscuit is sure to steal your heart from the moment you meet her. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s up-to-date on all her vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped, so sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ready for her forever home! Biscuit is always ready for her next adventure, whether thatâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a romp at the dog park or a cozy cuddle session on the couch. While she loves to play, Biscuit is also professionally trained and takes direction well. She gets along great with older, calmer dogs, but sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been known to put a puppy in its place. Biscuit is still learning her size and strength, so while she is good with young children, she would do best with older kids who can match her high energy levels. An ideal home for Biscuit would have an active family and a large securely fenced yard for her to explore and burn off that young dog energy. This smart cookie is already crate-trained, leash-trained, and house-trained, making the transition to her new home a breeze. As mentioned, she has been professionally trained and knows commands like sit, stay, come, heel, etc., and is always eager to learn new tricks. Biscuit is an affectionate pup who loves to cuddle up with her people at any time of day. She would thrive in a home with owners who can provide her with plenty of exercise, socialization, and lots of quality time. Unfortunately, our young son has been recently diagnosed with a severe allergy to dogs that has caused health issues. Since the diagnosis, she has been restricted to limited interaction and a lack of freedom to roam around the house and to enjoy just being a dog! It is a heartbreaking decision, but we know that we need to do what's best for Biscuit and help find her a family who will love her well and allow her to live her best life! Biscuit would make a wonderful addition to any family! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Biscuit III, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
I adopted Biscuit in August after nearly a year of looking for the perfect pup. She’s affectionate and loves to go on adventures and play. She is fully obedience trained, crate trained, and is exceptional on walks. Unfortunately, our older dog and her have developed some issues and it’s no longer a safe environment for the two of them. She can go to dog parks and meet other pups, but it would be best for her to live in a single dog home. She tends to bond with one person in particular and will stare lovingly into your eyes while wagging her tail and smiling. She does do good in a family setting, however. She absolutely loves life and would make a great addition to any active or semi-active household.

ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Puppy Policies: We do not adopt puppies under 6 months of age into apartment homes or homes without a fenced yard. All children in the home must be at least 5 years of age. We appreciate your understanding of these policies. Cheyenne is one sweet girl who loves attention! Chin scratches are at the top of her “favorites” list as you can see. She arrived from the Laredo shelter where she shared a kennel with Hammy who also joined RT4P. So far we know she likes other dogs and kids! She is potty trained and has already conquered the doggie door. She does really well in her crate too … she is only 8 months old after all so we think she is doing great Like all puppies, Cheyenne needs an adopter who is willing to train and work with her to help her be the best dog she can be. Meet Skippy – the Dog-Lover’s Dog If dogs could hand out friendship bracelets, Skippy would be covered in them. This boy lives for his four-legged friends! A true social butterfly, Skippy thrives in playgroups at OHAR and is happiest when he's surrounded by canine companions. Whether it’s a game of chase, a sniff session, or just lounging in the sun with a buddy, Skippy is all in.But when it comes to humans… Skippy’s heart is a little guarded. You see, Skippy has been let down more times than we can count. His journey began at the Mesquite Animal Shelter way back in 2017. OHAR stepped in to give him a chance, but his first foster placement wasn’t the right fit. Thankfully, an experienced foster took him in and gave him the time, structure, and love he needed to blossom into the amazing pup he truly is.He found what we hoped would be his forever home in 2020, but sadly, Skippy has found himself back with us—returned because his adopters couldn't provide the guidance he still needs. The one human who has ever made Skippy feel safe was his foster mama. She saw his heart, his potential, and never gave up on him.And we won’t either.Skippy deserves more than just another stop on his journey—he deserves his person. Someone patient, experienced, and kind. Someone who understands that trust is earned, not expected. Someone who will let Skippy shine in his own time.Could that someone be you?Let’s show Skippy that forever really does exist.
