Story
Bella was rescued by her original owner for nine years until he passed away from cancer at the age of 39. His mother subsequently took Bella in for two years before she passed away from a heart attack. Bella can display anxious or nervous behavior, but once she becomes familiar with her new owner and feels secure, she transforms into a very affectionate dog who enjoys cuddling and seeking attention. She currently has separation anxiety when left alone which consists of crying/whining and DOES NOT include any destructive behavior such as chewing or clawing. She currently is receiving obedience and behavioral training in reference. Bella used to live with a 20lb male mix-breed dog with no issues. She has never been around cats or children. Bella would thrive in a sole pet household so that she can receive all the attention/affection that she desires. Vet well visit and blood work done on 11/8/25 with no issues. Up to date on flea/tick, heart-worm and all shots.

Story
Bellamy is a wonderful dog. He seems to have some anxiety. We have a young child and he growls sometimes at her. I don’t know if it is because he is anxious but we can keep him because of this. He listens to commands like sit and speak. He sings with us. He is 6 years old now and he does shed a lot.

Sparky is the sweetest dog ever the family that he is with is having to surrender him and they love him so much but their son is allergic to him so we have got really good videos of him. He would make a great family pet. He loves children. He loves everybody. Just a good dog.fully vetted please include your phone number if interested in him The family had to surrender him to a high kill shelter and donated food and other dog supplies and the shelter will not allow them to visit him. Story
Braxton and Bryce are brothers and turned 2 on 10/9. I don't know the breed because my daughter is the owner of their parents and she acquired her dogs from a family friend who didn't know what the breed mix. She said she wanted them to look like foxes. I do know they are of a sptiz breed, maybe Icelandic Sheepdog mix. They are very trainable, easy to adapt to new routines and really loves to be close and cuddle. Bryce, loves puzzles, cautious and the informer. He will pace to get your attention to alert you that it's time to go for a walk. He does get anxiety and will chew on shoelaces and plants but super sweet. Braxton, doesn't like to work for snacks, he's not the puzzle pup but loves being a cuddle buddy. He loves his crate and will make his way there if there is too much stimuli. Temperament: energetic, relaxed, loves kids and gets along with other animals. Looking for a home with lots of love that will keep both of them as they are companions to one another.

Story
Meet Goober! A low-riding meatball, he adores attention, belly rubs, and snacks. Goober is a worldclass snuggler and move-in ready for just about any household that's looking for a cuddlebug and endless laughs. He gets along well with cats, kids, and anyone else who wants to give him attention (or some fries). He likes playing with other dogs, although he doesn't want those dogs to get near his toys, chews, or food. He's also been known to try to convince other dogs to give him their lunch money (or actual lunch), so if he joins a family with another dog we'll need to make sure it's the right pairing. He's housetrained, walks nicely on a leash, loves a good car ride, and doesn't get into mischief when left home alone. He's extremely snuggly and will be more than happy to cuddle up with you on the couch or the bed. He would love to sleep in the bed with you, but he will sleep in his own bed. Goober is a Chatty Cathy, but not in the way you might think. We're not talking barking - we're talking incredible Chewbacca sounds, like a small, fuzzy Wookiee greeting the dawn. He howls and chewbaccas for attention too (sometimes at 6 a.m., because love can’t wait). He also LOVES belly rubs and wiggles like a worm on his back to ask for them. He will start groaning and making funny noises when he gets them. And he has his own version of the zoomies, a little gallop where he runs up and down the hall chasing his humans. We suspect Goober has achondroplasia (dwarfism), and his legs certainly tell a tale ~ severely bowed, elbows that don’t bend, and only one front ankle that really does the job. Despite all that, he moves at his own pace, still plays, still runs, and still manages to demand attention like any self-respecting small dog. He's happy to go for a ride in the stroller if you want a longer walk. If you'd like him to go up or down stairs, you may need to do some carrying, He can jump off the couch but not up onto it. However, he's good with going up the ramp to get onto the couch. He came in with a rough ear infection but it improved quickly with treatment. His forever family will need to keep an eye on his ears to be sure the issues don't recur. If you can use an adorable, loving, shortypants in your home, apply now for Goober! Goober is approx 10 years old and 25 lbs Fostered in Reston, VA Please apply at MirisHaven.org

Story
If you want a dog that will fit right into your family, he's the boy. Every person who meets him absolutely adores him, whether they be a kid or adult. He just wants your pets and also maybe your snacks. He loves car rides, camping, and hiking but he’s just as happy cozying up on the couch. He loves to snuggle and will shove his nose under blankets to curl up as close as he can to you. All of his pet sitters comment on how well behaved and sweet he is. He's in great health, very smart and emotive. He LOVES kids, and will be best fit as a single dog or with a female dog. As a busy single parent, his love and loyalty isn’t appreciated as much as it should be. He wants to be everywhere I am and I need to be everywhere all at once, which doesn’t work out. I adopted him when I lived near family and friends in a different state, when I had support with my kid and my dog. Now I'm here in PA and I've tried really hard to make it work but caring for a dog is just too much sadly.
