My wife and I adopted Cookie from Animal Rescue in Hanover PA in 2018. She is currently 8 years old and approximately 35 lbs.. A year after adoption, my wife was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's. We had to move to a farmette in Carroll County and I quit my job to care for my wife. Cookie spent the next 6 years on the farm with cats and had a great life on the farm. Follow my wife's death in 2025, I moved downtown into a condo to be closer to my new job. Cookie does not do well walking on a leash and my schedule does not allow me to be home much. She needs a larger place to live and run. She really needs a property where she can be off leash and run and play.

Mal was adopted from a shelter in Orlando, FL in July of 2021. At the time we were told she was 9-12 months old. She is a very energetic and sweet dog. She needs a lot of activity that we aren’t able to provide her with. She is good with kids, and has been around kids from infant to teen years. Currently there are cats in the home and she has never tried to harm them, she is playful with them and sometimes fearful of them. She has been around dogs from small to large size. She gets along with other dogs. She has never shown aggression toward anyone whether it be a human or animal. We really do love her, but we simply do not have the time or energy to meet her needs.

Story

To start Benelli is a great dog. I got him back in 2019 when he was only six weeks old. He’s been a great sidekick, but I did get unexpectedly pregnant back in 2021. I’ve tried extremely hard to balance having him giving him enough exercise and attention while also being a mother and having a business. The only reason I want to rehome him is because I know realistically my life is not going to slow down anytime soon, and I can visibly see that he’s wanting and needing more attention and more time outside in general. I don’t want to deprive him of what he needs because I selfishly don’t want to get rid of him. He is great with kids has always been great with other dogs, goes to the bathroom outside. He literally only needs a lot of love and room to run. My heart aches to do this, but I truly believe it’s the best option for him to have a great rest of his life. This is Faith. She is an amazing dog. The biggest teddy bear. She is potty trained and will ask to go to the bathroom. She loves running and playing in snow. We have had her in an apartment and we always try and let her run. She is good off leash but struggles a bit on leash. She’s great with cats senior or otherwise. She’s great with older children. We have to surrender her because she is extremely jealous of the baby and we have been trying to make it work for 2 1/2 months and nothings budging. She is NOT aggressive what’s so ever and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She is friendly with other dogs but has never lived with one. She is a big girl but thinks she is a lap dog. She is 7 years old but still has energy but calms down after a while. She knows common commands.

We adopted Maggie when she was just 3 months old, and she’s very affectionate and loves to play. She’s got a big fenced in back yard and prefers to be outside during the day. We’ve done some dog training with her and she’s super smart. She got along with the other dogs there and loves our older dog. However, she’s very high energy and tends to stress out our older dog. She barks at people when they first come, but has liked everyone she’s met. Our home life is somewhat chaotic and this is contributing to her anxiety. Maggie barks whenever people are near the house or she thinks ahead heard something. This behavior has become stressful for us. Maggie would thrive in a home where she gets lots of love and attention, has a fenced in yard space, and kids are older.

This 28-pound brown-and-white beauty is as sweet as her name suggests. Her mama looks just like a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog, and the breeder said the pups were Bernedoodles — which explains her soft, non-shedding coat and those “painted by an artist” good looks. Cinnamon is a little shy at first — think “fragile flower just starting to bloom” vibes —as she is already blossoming more and more every day. She happily lets us pet her all over, has shown absolutely zero signs of aggression, and recently discovered that treats are, in fact, one of life’s greatest inventions.
