Story
Rick is a golden retriever hound pit mix who is very food motivated! He works outstanding with any dog he meets, he play with any dog of any size and temperament. He is protective of the family which means while in the home, he is wary of guests. He does not like to be pet directly on the head (stranger danger!) He loves to snuggle with family and he is very effectionate with children and babies. Though it may take some time for him to warm up to his new family! Hes loves to hiking, running, and general play! Due to some personal matters and our first baby we are unable to give him the quality time and play he needs. Story
Chicken is a red heeler chihuahua mix with a huge personality and an even bigger love for fetch and I mean she loves it. She’s super affectionate and adores being close to her people, but she also appreciates her own space and downtime and settles well when it’s time to relax. Chicken does great with other dogs and is wonderful with kids, making her an overall amazing family dog. She’s never been around cats, so we’re not sure how she’d do in a home with them. She’s also a fantastic adventure buddy: she loves hiking, has great recall, and is the kind of dog that makes being outdoors even more fun. We recently welcomed a newborn baby, and as much as we love Chicken, we’re not able to give her the quality time, attention, and daily play she deserves right now so we’re looking for a loving home where she can get the time and companionship she needs. Minnie is ~5 years old, 25 lbs, female, black and tan patterdale terrier/beagle mix (best guess). She is a sweet and friendly gal who loves to get attention from humans! Everyone she meets adores her. While she is a tripod, she does not let that hold her back, she can be energetic & playful & loves playing in the yard. After a walk, Minnie settles down for a nice nap or a cuddle in your lap. She has done well with cats in her home. She is up-to-date on vaccines, crate trained, house trained. Minnie was found by animal control in NC with a leg injury. The shelter made an urgent plea to save her life. Darby is a sweet girl. We adopted her from the San Antonio Humane Society in 2015. She is approximately 11 years old. She is very kind and does well with dogs and kids. She's only been around a couple of cats over the years, but was good with them too. Darby has been living with another dog for the past 7 years who is also up for adoption as well. She is a very easy going girl and loves attention, but seems to be very content with her alone time as well. Darby is in great health despite not seeing a vet on a regular basis. Unfortunately, I have to move and can't take her with me.

Story
Nugget is a very affectionate if not a little anxious older gal who needs an immediate placement due to housing challenges. We are open to a temporary year-long placement or a forever home. She has lived with two other dogs for the last 3-6 years and is still very energetic for her age. She gets protective at home when she does not know people who are in her space but no aggression and does very well in public. We would love to be able to see Nugget from time to time if possible. We appreciate any help in our situation!

Story
Ren was found in a shed with several other pups. He has clearly had a rough start to life but has not let that get him down. He is sweet, energetic, and willing to listen. He loves people… all of them and will gladly drive by lick anyone on a walk. He does very well with my cats. He walks well on the leash and love love loves car rides. He knows sit, down, here, crate, bed, and out. He will often come if you just call his name. He really would do well in a home where someone is with him most hours of the day as he really hates being left alone. He has become quite the Houdini. I’m sad to rehome him because he is such a sweet boy but it’s not fair to him to be locked up on a crate 8-9hr a day. Hoping to find the right fit for him!
