Minnie is ~5 years old, 25 lbs, female, black and tan patterdale terrier/beagle mix (best guess). She is a sweet and friendly gal who loves to get attention from humans! Everyone she meets adores her. While she is a tripod, she does not let that hold her back, she can be energetic & playful & loves playing in the yard. After a walk, Minnie settles down for a nice nap or a cuddle in your lap. She has done well with cats in her home. She is up-to-date on vaccines, crate trained, house trained. Minnie was found by animal control in NC with a leg injury. The shelter made an urgent plea to save her life. PetConnect Rescue came to her rescue, bringing her to a foster in the DC area and giving her necessary medical care, including leg amputation.Please get in touch to fill out a non-binding application to meet Minnie OR go to www.petconnectrescue.org (search for Minnie in adopt tab). Carl is a loving 3.5-year-old lab/pittie mix (guessing!) who loves to snuggle on the couch with his people. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. He is friendly with other dogs and loves to meet new people. He is also great with children big and small. His favorite activities are sniffing in the grass and lying in the sun or next to a warm body.Carl does have digestive issues that require ongoing medication. He tends to scavenge for trash and cat waste, and it's hard on his tummy.He weighs about 60 lbs. and is about the size of a beagle or heeler.Any adoption fee will be donated to an animal shelter.

Story
Darby is a sweet girl. We adopted her from the San Antonio Humane Society in 2015. She is approximately 11 years old. She is very kind and does well with dogs and kids. She's only been around a couple of cats over the years, but was good with them too. Darby has been living with another dog for the past 7 years who is also up for adoption as well. She is a very easy going girl and loves attention, but seems to be very content with her alone time as well. Darby is in great health despite not seeing a vet on a regular basis. Unfortunately, I have to move and can't take her with me.

Story
We adopted Ziggy in April and he is a wonderful, very special dog who we just adopted at the wrong time. We have 2 kids and a pregnancy and may have overestimated how much we can handle at once! Ziggy is about 1 year old, and has been so gentle and non-reactive with our kids. He is very attentive and food motivated so he is very trainable if you have the time to do it! He knows sit, lie down, no, leave it, place, and crate. He still needs consistent training other basic manners.He does great on the leash though he does pull when he sees other dogs. When meeting other dogs on the leash he is bouncy and playful.He is a snuggle bug and also a great partner for nature walks. He loves playing fetch and gets the zoomies with a toy in our fenced yard. He is a gentle chewer on soft toys and goes to town on a good bone made for tougher chewing. He rests and sleeps quietly in his crate. He’s a special dog and I hope we can find a forever match for him!

Kiwi is very sweet and affectionate She is 5 years old. We are looking for someone who can give her a lot of attention and walks. She is friendly with other dogs, but also very anxious around them. She is very good with kids. She is sometimes “too friendly” and will jump up to say hi to people. She is motivated by food.
