Story
Oakley is 4.5 years old, just under 50 pounds, and an incredibly sweet, loving dog and total cuddle bug. At home with the people she trusts, she loves being close, relaxing on the couch, and getting affection. We recently welcomed a new baby, and unfortunately Oakley has not adjusted well. She has started growling and snapping at times, and we’ve realized she needs an adult-only home with no children and cannot be placed in a home with another dog. Oakley is very anxious, especially outside the home and in busy environments. She would do best in a quiet home with a fenced-in yard, a predictable routine, and someone experienced with anxious/reactive dogs. She is fully potty trained and crate trained at night. This is incredibly difficult for us. Oakley is deeply loved, and our priority is finding the right home where she can feel safe, comfortable, and happy.

Large, 40 LBS, striking dog, grey coat, mixed - she is wonderful, but moderately high energy & smart (2 years~). Likely a better fit for a home with a yard and/or a moderately physically active household, read: will give her an outlet for her energy, she loves to run with other dogs, be with her people, and enrichment activities. Interested in placing her in a home with someone who understands dog behavior. She is shy and slow to warm. Off-leash: She is friendly with other dogs her size or smaller who are mellow, playful. Once she she warms up, she will run and play with other dogs. On-leash: She is skittish and has made a lot of progress, but a potential adopter needs to be aware that she has anxiety on the leash that is very different from her behavior off leash. For example, I will cross the street with her when I see a dog or person approaching us.note: She has gone through a couple obedience classes and is highly trainable, she knows recall, basic commands, sit/down

Story
Stevie is an approximately 6 year old lab/corgi mix who was adopted four years ago. She is sweet, gentle, a little overweight (ok, about 15lbs overweight according to the vet). She is great with other dogs and kids. I listed "unknown" regarding cats - she will NOT hurt them in my experience but does enjoy a chase. She loves long walks and would be a happy girl in a farm setting, or in a home with land to roam. She is affectionate and snuggly! Unfortunately life has thrown a curveball and finding myself in a single mom situation isn't conducive to giving her the life she deserves. We'd love to see her being spoiled with a loving family where she has the support, love, time, and attention she'd thrive with.

My brother-in-law unexpectedly passed away. I am trying to find a home for Buddy (8), and his sister Bailey (7), both Canucu dogs from Aruba. He was my brother-in-laws dog, he barks a lot when someone enters the home and seems scared and protective. He does not seem to like anyone in the home, but is fine at the vets for example. He needs someone experienced to work with him as his socialization was very limited post Covid. Prior to this he was socialized visited and played with often by many different people. He is loving to his immediate family members (who due to health, mobility, and age related issues can’t keep him in the home). I think he could be a good dog with some love and care. I have two dogs, a cat, two young kids, and elderly parents living with me so I unfortunately can’t keep him.
