Story
Ziggy was found running in a busy street dodging cars in September when he was an older puppy. He was covered in fleas and it was clear he hadn’t eaten in awhile. We tried to see if he was just lost but no one claimed him. We have taken care of him since. He is very affectionate and loves his people. He loves to play. A lot. However, due to the age and health of one of our family members, and Ziggy’s boundless energy and need for training, we are not a good fit for him due to medical limitations. He is a herding breed we believe, and he needs someone young and energetic and able to train him. He would do amazing with someone who can walk him, and I see him being a great dog to take on hikes once he gets used it. He isn’t good for our older dog as she doesn’t play much, but he may do better with a more dominant energetic dog that can match his energy. We don’t know how he is with young children or cats, but he is good with teens.

Story
**Introducing the Irresistible Jolene! ** 🐕 **Breed**: Beautiful Brindle Mutt 🎉 **Age**: 2 Years Old 🌟 **Origin**: Adopted in Bay City, Jolene has been a treasure from the start. Jolene is a vocal girl, not shy about expressing her thoughts and feelings. Her expressive nature is just one of the many charms that make her unique. She's a good girl at heart, with a loving and affectionate demeanor that endears her to everyone she meets. She spends her days having fun with her brother Charlie. At 2 years old, Jolene is still in the prime of her youth, full of life and ready to share her joy. She's looking for a forever home where she can sing her heart out and be the center of attention. Jolene thrives on companionship and would love to be part of a family that appreciates her spirited personality. Also, we would prefer to keep Jolene and Charlie together as they have recently gone through a lot of changes, and we think it would be beneficial for them to stay together.

Story
Chibbs found his way to our home after being dumped escaping his previous owner. He was malnourished, skinny, and had a chain around his neck that by husband had to cut off. He’s come along way since then but he does continue to pee everywhere in the house when he is not supervised. This means Heb is kenneled a lot and I hate that for him. He is very sweet and thankful that people love him. I want him to go somewhere that he can be a dog and run around. We just moved into a neighborhood and he’s not adjusting well to the smaller years and my 2 senior dogs are starting to become agressive.

Story
A couple approached us at the Georgetown Bark Park and said they found Bandit and tried to turn him in to the animal shelter, but it was closed. We told them that we would turn him in the next day. As my wife and I discussed our conversation with the couple I realized the wife slipped and said he was almost house-trained. [Go Figure] … Over the week we decided to keep this four-month-old puppy, our Pitbull Jack Russell mix, and our miniature Poodle. My wife’s health has taken some hits over the past two years and her ability to manage three energetic dogs has been way too trying for her when I am not around

Story
Layla is 9 years old. She's a great dog with just the right amount of energy. She knows how to sit, shake, come to you, and drop a toy. She knows to sit before she can be let back into the house. She spends most of her day indoors on her bed, but she loves walks and chasing squirrels in the backyard. We have small children and she's always been great with them. For many years we had a cat. The cat would mostly stay in one room, which Layla knew she wasn't allowed to enter. On the rare occasions that the cat left the room, Layla would come up to her to say hi in a friendly way (never touching or chasing). We hope Layla can find a new home where she can get a few walks a week, a backyard, and a Chewie in the morning. Thanks for considering Layla!
