Meet Harvey! He is a 3yr old neutered male Newfoundland dog, with possibly Border Collie in the mix, that weighs 71lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 2/14 as a stray. He is a very handsome boy, with loving brown eyes and soft fluffy fur. Harvey will need to keep up on his grooming needs. He walks well on a leash, takes treats gently, and loves to have his face rubbed and will roll over for tummy rubs. Walking through the shelter he walked very well on a leash and didn’t show any interest in the other dogs barking at him. We do ask if you have another dog in the home, please ask the shelter for a dog test. He kept his nose down taking in all the smells in the play yard, and eventually came back to me for attention. He has a gentle soul and gave me a few kisses. Its clear to see he would make a wonderful family companion with his calm demeanor. He would need to have a secure yard he can spend time in. Most importantly he will need to live indoors where he can enjoy his time with his human companions. Harvey is a great catch!
