Story
Shrimp is a very lucky dog. A wonderful volunteer from Bobbies Street Cats witnessed her being tossed from a car in the middle of the night. She jumped in her car and scooped her up and got her to our Vet at Sherman Oaks Vet Group. They got her stable and assessed the damage. Dislocated hips and a lot of pain. Hope for Paws offered to cover her surgery at Cares. Rescue is a group effort. Everyone jumped in to help Shrimp. She has made a remarkable recovery in her wonderful foster home (where she fell in love with their cat) and is doing great. In spite of the level of cruelty that brought her to us, Shrimp remains loving and kind. She gets along great with all people and dogs and as we said, loves cats. Not a clue what her mix is...we're guessing lovebug mixed with kitty lover.

Story
Hi I'm Dorinda! nice to meet you! You might notice my hair loss. Yes-true story-it's missing. BUT it's coming back-slowly thanks to good medical care and good nutrition. I'm around 8 years old and weigh 8 lbs. I'm an itty bitty thing who is as sweet as they come. I am great with dogs and would be fine with a cat friend too. I could also fly solo wanna be besties? please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. We do not transport our dogs. If you apply from out of state we do request you come to Los Angeles to meet us and fly home in cabin or drive. www.apurposefulrescue.org

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to LAX💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Moongji🖤🤍 💙 Adogs Updates Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, and heartworm negative upon retest. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Moonji was living in a yard in Gimje. Unfortunately, as his elderly owners’ health declined, the dogs were left without proper care for a long time. Adogs gave the owners some time to say goodbye to their beloved dogs before safely rescuing Moonji along with five other dogs. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is a little shy around strangers at first, but quickly warms up if offered treats. When male volunteers visited the Center, he approached first, asking for pets. If young children are holding treats, he may try to take them from them, so caution is needed. * With Dogs: Is not very interested in other dogs and prefers spending time alone. Prefers quiet and nonchalant friends. * Separation Anxiety: Unknown, as he currently lives in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Potties inside his kennel and also marks on poles. Will need basic training in a home environment. * Walks: When he feels uncomfortable, he might get stubborn and stop walking, but most of the time, he follows his handler well. * Car Sickness: Travels well in the car without motion sickness during short car rides. * Biting: Has a strong appetite so he growls and bares his teeth a little if you pet him when he’s eating. May get mouthy if you forcefully try to hold him. Doesn’t show aggression otherwise. * Barking: Sometimes barks when he’s impatient for food or treats. * LIkes: Loves treats! Even when shy, treats help him open up and respond well to training. Likes to rest in the sunlight. * Dislikes: Becomes cautious and uncomfortable with loud noises or when held forcefully. Is uncomfortable when strangers approach him. * Personality: Has a low energy level, so he is generally quiet and well-behaved. Has an independent streak and is a true "gentle dog" who knows how to enjoy his own downtime.

Story
Tammy Pescatelli is a 3-year-old Pom/Papillon mix with the kind of sweet, gentle personality that makes you fall in love with her almost immediately. Her journey to Shelter Hope began when she was found as a stray in Bakersfield. While we don't know how she survived on her own, we're grateful she was given a second chance. After spending time in a local foster home, it quickly became clear what a special little dog she is. Tammy is an absolute sweetheart. According to her foster, she was a little shy during her first few days, but once she settled in, she showed everyone just how loving and easygoing she is. She enjoys cuddling, loves her treats, and is happiest spending time with her people. She's the type of dog who doesn't ask for much, just a cozy spot to relax and someone to love. Tammy gets along well with other dogs, does well with kids, and is doing great with her potty training. Her foster says she's not an escape artist and not much of a barker either (unless she sees a cat!). She's simply a cuddly, chill little dog who enjoys life's simple pleasures. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily curl up beside you after a long day, Tammy is your match! Now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, Tammy is ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for. --- Looking to Adopt? Step 1) Apply Online Submit a rescue questionnaire!
