Story
Meet Tiramisu, (aka Misu) a 5 year old 12 lb pekingese mix who is as sweet as his name. It’s hard to imagine how scared this little guy must’ve felt as a stray dog, only to be picked up and brought to a noisy shelter environment. But thanks to a foster angel, AmsterDog was able to rescue Tiramisu and give him another chance. Misu is a little nervous when he first meets you, but slowly warms up and will give you all the cuddles and kisses you could want. He loves following his person around everywhere and would do best in a low-key home. Calm and gentle with other dogs and is super smart and learns quickly. Loves to go on walks and explore new places.   Tiramisu is neutered, up-to-date on his shots and micro chipped too. To learn more about him please contact infi@amsterdog.org or fill out our online application at amsterdog.org Thanks for caring about a little dog in need!

*FULLY SPONSORED BY THE GREY MUZZLE FOUNDATION * Meet BEBE, our senior Pekingese lady and expert cuddler. BEBE will nestle into the crook of your arms and burrow into your lap until you ask yourself whether you really want to leave your couch after all. Trust us, she won't judge you for grabbing that little nap with her! She'll also enjoy your busy time together, following you from spot to spot and even helping you with yard work--in a supervisory capacity, of course. If you enjoy good company and have room in your heart, your arms, and your lap for this sweet buddy girl, you'll want to apply right away to meet BEBE. Fully sponsored by The Grey Muzzle Organization. Bebe has been signed off by the vet and is ready for her forever home as an “as- is” senior sweetheart. This Fido is a Trust Rescue dog who will be available very soon, but isn’t quite ready for adoption just yet. This Fido is already winning hearts, and we expect a lot of interest once officially ready. We encourage you to submit your application now to get a head start. Approved adopters will be first in line to meet this special Fido. 🌟 A Special Note About Adopting a Senior Dog 🌟 Our senior dogs are proudly sponsored by The Grey Muzzle Organization, meaning there is no adoption fee to welcome one of these wonderful dogs into your home! While the cost is covered, we ask that all potential adopters understand the unique age-related needs of a senior companion. Please be prepared to see some of these graceful signs of aging: Mobility Changes: A senior dog won't move like a 2-year-old. You may notice mild stiffness or arthritis. Sensory Changes: They might have slight cloudiness in their eyes or some degree of hearing loss. Dental Health: Due to past diet or life as a stray, many rescued dogs, including seniors, may have some compromised dental health. These are natural, non-emergency degenerative issues that come with age. If you are not prepared for the reality that the dog will act and move like a senior, not a puppy, we kindly ask that you explore adopting a younger dog instead. If you are ready to open your heart to a dog that deserves comfort, love, and a peaceful next chapter, our seniors are waiting for you! ❤️ OUR PROCESS: At Trust Rescue, we're dedicated to connecting loving families with wonderful canine companions. You can trust that every "Fido" in our care is unique, fully vetted, and altered per veterinary guidelines, ready to find their forever home. While their weight or appearance may change as they settle in, our commitment to their health and well-being is unwavering. Whether they're in Texas getting vetted, groomed, and altered, or comfortably settled in New Jersey, all dogs are entrusted to and under the custody of Trust Rescue. They receive loving care in dedicated foster homes or at our facility. No matter where they are, you can trust they are always with us and receiving the best possible care. We've made our adoption process straightforward and accessible because we believe in making adoption achievable for everyone. Ready to Adopt? Apply Today: Fill out our straightforward application! Personalized Meet-and-Greet: If we believe your family is the right fit, our team will contact you within 1-2 business days. We'll schedule a private, 30-minute meet-and-greet at our Trust HQ. This dedicated time is exclusively for your family an your potential new trusted companion. Affordable Adoption: Our adoption fee is designed to be affordable. There are several ways to meet the wonderful dogs available for adoption: Join us at our adoption events every Saturday! Visit our website for future transport information and schedules. Follow us, Trust Rescue, on: Our website: https://www.trustrescue.org/adoptable-dogs Facebook, and Instagram for continuous updates on our available Fidos and Saturday events. We're always posting new information! Many of our dogs have lived with cats. While we don't assess for cat compatibility, with thoughtful introductions and your guidance, successful dog-cat relationships are common. You have all of the information here, to the best of our knowledge. We believe in transparency and providing you with everything we know about our trusted companions. Trust Rescue proudly maintains an Open Adoption Policy, building a canine community you can trust and count on.

Story
Yo-Yo has had a rough few weeks since coming to us but is finally starting to relax. This 3 year old was surrendered because he was being left along 14+ hours a day and no one had any time for him. He had a cherry eye and matted dreadlocks hanging from him, and was terrified and clearly not used to much handling. He’s never been on a leash (or when he was something bad definitely happened) and absolutely HATES them- as soon as he even sees a leash coming near him he instantly panics and try to bite to get it off of him. Without the leash he lets us pick him up easily and dances around for attention. He had a cherry eye repair and wasn’t happy about the cone on his neck or the vet staff or us trying to do eye drops while he was recovering, but now all has been forgiven since he is recovered. But he’s not the type of dog that really wants any one in his face too much or picking at him and will probably need sleepytime meds for grooming in the future. He seems to be some kind of Maltese/peke/Shih Tzu mix, under 15lbs and not a completely nonshedding coat so at least he doesn’t have to be groomed quite as often. He likes other dogs and follows them in and out of the fenced yard easily; while we don’t require it for all dogs, little Yo-Yo definitely needs offense due to his intense dislike of leashes at this point. He’s looking for an adult home that understands weird little dogs who don’t want to be messed with and will let him come for attention on his terms. Email njwoof@cs.com to meet Yo-Yo in Northern NJ Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Submit an application from our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com to speed up the adoption process and email any questions to us at njwoof@cs.com. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.

Story
Meet Gouda! One of the family of 4 chis surrendered to a local shelter due to their owner's hospitalization, this guy is the biggest at 8 1/2 lbs. He looks like he may be mixed with some peke or other wider squish-faced breed. He's very timid at first but sweet and playful once he warms up, and loves and follows other dogs. He's not used to walking on a leash and seems to us wee wee pads, so will need patience and socialization getting used to the outside world. He's looking for a calmer home with another doggie friend to help him feel safe. Please submit an application to meet Gouda. He's about 1-2 years old and has been neutered, updated on shots, and had a hernia repaired Primary Color: Chocolate Weight: 8.75 Age: 1yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
●Rescue Story Jjajang was rescued from the euthanasia list at Jeongeup City Shelter. Thanks to timely intervention, he was given a second chance at life and moved into a foster home, where he has been able to decompress and show his true, gentle personality. ●Temperament & Behavior Jjajang is a calm and sensitive dog who prefers a peaceful environment. He does not enjoy overly energetic or pushy dogs, regardless of their size. He may be able to coexist with another dog who has low energy or shows little interest in him, but he may be happiest as the only dog in the home. When he feels bothered, he communicates clearly by giving a soft growl as a “please stop” signal. His compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. With people, Jjajang is initially cautious. Sudden approaches or reaching out to touch him can be scary for him. However, if someone sits calmly nearby, he will often approach on his own and quietly ask for affection with gentle eye contact. ●Walking & Daily Life At first, Jjajang appeared timid on walks, but with consistent leash training, he now walks nicely beside his handler and matches their pace well. If startled, he may briefly crouch, but sitting down and softly calling his name helps him recover quickly. He loves sniffing during walks and is not food-driven outdoors. He navigates stairs well and is not significantly bothered by traffic noise. His shedding level is moderate, around 5 out of 10. He has no food allergies and is not a picky eater. ●Habits & Training Jjajang uses indoor pee pads reliably (100%) and also goes potty outdoors about 50% of the time. He accepts baths and brushing calmly without resistance. He does not have separation anxiety and is comfortable spending time alone. He is not a barker and remains quiet in the home. He rides well in the car and does not appear to experience motion sickness. ●Likes & Personality Jjajang is not particularly interested in toys and prefers quiet time resting on his own rather than high-energy play. He is easily startled by sudden approaches but becomes very affectionate once trust is built. He is currently living in a foster home.
