Dillon is good with other dogs and cats with a slow introduction. He currently lives in a foster home with 3 dogs and a cat very happily but would also be ok as an only kid. For his new home, Dillon would like a fenced-in yard as he loves to be outside chasing critters or doing zoomies with his foster brother. He would not do particularly well in an apartment. Dillon is 25 pounds of fun. He loves to meet new people and adores older, respectful children. While he has his glorious coat, Dillon does not like to be groomed in a salon (mobile groomer would be best), but he is good being brushed at home once you have built your trust with him. He is a goofy, funny boy who makes you smile every day with his antics. He just needs a patient, loving home who will continue to work with him. He is very food motivated and easy to train. Spike is a friendly, cuddly furball who takes a few minutes to warm up to new people but becomes very loyal and fun once he does. Due to past trauma from being starved, he tends to eat any food he finds, so I keep food out of his reach. He hasn’t bitten anyone in over two years and is generally friendly with other dogs, although he prefers his own space. Spike is potty trained, knows tricks like high five, sit, spin, and roll over, and requires walks twice daily. While I don’t have children or cats, he seems good with them based on his behavior so far. Spike needs someone sweet and loving to take care of him, and he’ll be a great companion. I’m asking for a small fee, as I have invested a lot into his care and training. I will also provide all the equipment I have for him (bed, food bowls, leash, etc.).

Gizmo is a very sweet little boy, however he does not like children due to them tormenting him in his previous home. He has the typical Pekingese personality and we require an adopter familiar with the breed. He would do great as the only dog in the household. He had food and resource guarding issues in the shelter, but we found that not to be problematic in our care. He is just a typical Pekingese. A sensitive breed with a strong personality. We think he is an exceptional little boy that any lover of this breed would adore. A quiet home with someone there most of the time that wants a constant loyal companion and who understands and loves this breed of dog is the best home for Giz. All potential adopters must fill out applications and be approved before meeting the pet they are interested in adopting. Meet Sarge. He almost died this morning but one of our kind vet tech friends couldn’t let that happen. We are looking for a peke lover who will be on top of his continued medical care longterm. He has 2 chronic but manageable medical issues that his owners couldn’t continue caring for so they had him scheduled to be euthanized. He has had chronic back issues common to the long short breed, but he has been managed with long term steroids and gets around well as long as he stays on them. There’s always risk of progression with these guys and of course he should avoid stairs or jumping off furniture. He also has chronic dry eye which needs long-term daily eyedrop. Unfortunately, the owners stopped, giving them to him, causing some painful ulcers and other issues, and he may end up losing one of his eyes… for now he’s being treated and we will know more soon. Sarge is only five years old, very friendly with humans, dogs and cats alike, and wants to live! He’s under vet care right now and will need someone committed to his medical needs once he’s ready for adoption. He is extremely affectionate with his humans and will stare into your eyes so you know he loves you! He is a fun little guy and loves chasing a tossed toy and playing with the other pups in his foster home. Harvey lived with Teddy (also available, see pic above) and they can go home together or individually. Harvey is very well behaved and a super chill little guy. He LOVES sitting outside in any weather. Even in the rain! He would love a nice grassy area to hang out in and a fenced yard would be even better so he can meander around as he likes. He can be an only dog since his humans are his priority but he can live with other small breed pups (and other Pekes of course). He LOVES running around the yard with his foster siblings. Our veterinary partner estimates that Pepper is 3 years old at the time of intake in October 2023. Pepper is good with adults and other dogs. This little guy was brought into rescue in a neglected and abused condition. His fur was incredibly matted and soaked in urine. We don’t know how long Pepper suffered in that painful condition, but we’re only looking forward to Pepper’s happy future. Pepper has been shaved down and all of the mats removed. He is a sweet boy but understandably shaken and scared at what his life has been and unsure of what the future holds for him. He’s now pain free and on the path to recovery, but we recommend a quiet home without small children as Pepper needs some space that small children cannot give him.
